Soho House & Co

Soho Friends terms and conditions

Soho House has private members’ clubs (our ‘Houses’), along with public restaurants, spas, cinemas and hotels (our ‘Spaces’) throughout the world. Membership to Soho House is for people with a ‘creative soul’, and requires its members and their guests to accept the standards of conduct and rules in our Spaces.

1. Soho Friends
Each Soho Friend contracts with the Soho House company that looks after his or her local region (being the region closest to their designated address). Soho House reserves the right at its absolute discretion to change the Soho House company with whom a Soho Friend contracts from time to time. Soho House will inform each Soho Friend of the name of the Soho House company with whom he or she contracts by email when we confirm your registration and/ or renewal, and also when we change your contracting Soho House company at any time. In these rules, we will refer to that company as ‘Soho House’. Soho House reserves the right to charge Soho Friends an annual subscription fee and for admission to our Spaces from time to time. The right to change or waive any such fees or subscriptions from time to time shall be at Soho House’s sole discretion.

2. Your Soho Friends registration
By completing and registering for a Soho Friends via sohohouse.com, you agree to these terms. Soho House has discretion as to who our Soho Friends are.

3. Proposing new Soho Friends
Both Soho House members and existing Soho Friends are welcome to propose new Soho Friends. The registration form is available at sohohouse.com/membership/friends.

4. Soho Friends renewal
Soho Friends is for a minimum period of one year and renewable thereafter on an annual basis. Soho Friends renewals will be subject to review on an annual basis and, if approved by Soho House, your membership renewal payment will be taken automatically. Soho House’s decision on whether to renew your membership is final and without appeal.

5. Soho Friends database
For safety and security, it is important for us to have your current details and a photograph in our database. By becoming a Soho Friend, you agree that we can hold your personal details and a photograph of you for us to use in connection with your account. If your contact or payment details change, please let us know via your account page on the Soho Friends app, or by emailing membership@sohohouse.com

6. Soho Friends fee payment
Upon approval or renewal of your account, your fees become payable immediately. By providing us with your payment details, you consent to being charged with subscription fees in the form requested by Soho House upon being approved or renewed. Soho House can amend your fees at any time, and we will tell you in advance if there are to be any changes to the amount, date or frequency of the payment of your fees. Failure to pay the annual subscription (or any instalment thereof) within one month of the due date will result in you not being admitted to our Spaces and your account being terminated

7. Resignation of your Soho Friends account and renewals
If your Soho Friends subscription is payable by monthly or annual payment and you choose to resign your Soho Friends account (or your subscription is cancelled part way through the year), you will still need to pay your full Soho Friends subscription fee for the remainder of the year. Refunds will be at the discretion of Soho House. All Soho Friends will automatically renew unless either (i) you chose to resign or (ii) your Soho Friends account is terminated by Soho House (at its sole discretion). Soho House will contact you two weeks prior to your autorenewal to inform you of any price rise to Soho Friends for the upcoming year.

8. Soho Friends cards
Your digital card is in the profile section of the Soho Friends app. Soho Friends are able to download it as a card in their Apple Wallet on an iPhone and in the account section on an Android phone. Screengrabbing and sharing of Soho Friends cards is not allowed, and will result in your account being terminated.

9. Your personal information
We will use the personal information you provide to us in connection with your Soho Friends account in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

17. Children
All our Spaces are designed for adults, but aim to be child-friendly. Please be considerate of other members when you bring any children with you and ensure they are not left unattended at any time. It’s a good idea to ask each Space about its rules regarding children, since they vary. Please remember that your children are your responsibility at all times when present in our spaces and they count as part of your Soho Friends guest allowance.

If a Soho Friend or guest has an accident or suffers any injury at, or nearby, the House or in our Spaces, please report this as soon as possible to a member of staff, and in any event within 24 hours of the incident. As well as wanting to check on a member or guest’s wellbeing, this information is needed in order to help us comply with our health and safety obligations and for insurance purposes.
