Inspired by Jason Bentley’s discussion with film-maker Bryan Fogel, this recipe is a twist on a classic Sidecar. Fresh lemon juice and a splash of orange blossom water balance out the cognac and orange liqueur.
1.5 oz/ 42 ml D’USSE VSOP
1 oz/ 28 ml orange liqueur
¾ oz/ 21 ml fresh lemon juice
⅓ oz/ 9 ml orange blossom water (available on Amazon; recommended brand: Cortas)
Lemon peel for garnish
Shake all the ingredients together with ice and pour into a coupe glass. Garnish with lemon peel.
