Fresh lime, mint and… find out what makes a Soho House Hong Kong Eastern Standard

To ensure you don’t have to miss out on cocktail hour while the Houses are closed, we’ve shown you how to make your favourites at home. So far, that’s included the signature Picante and Dry Martini – up next is the Eastern Standard.

On @sohohouse, Bar Manager Anne-Sophie Cross demonstrated how Soho House Hong Kong concocts the cocktail. Below, discover the recipe for the ideal weekend drink for when hints of summer are on the horizon.

INGREDIENTS
2oz/ 50ml vodka or gin
1oz/ 25ml fresh lime juice
0.75oz/ 20ml simple syrup

3 mint leaves, hand-clapped

GARNISH
Slice of cucumber rubbed on the rim of the glass and then placed in the cocktail.

GLASS

METHOD
Muddle the cucumber slices in a shaker tin and add the mint once you have hand-clapped it to release the oils. Add the rest of the ingredients in the shaker with ice, then shake and fine-strain into a coupe glass to ensure the cocktail is smooth.
