House Nights: chef Israel Aharoni hits Soho House Tel Aviv
In partnership with St-Germain liqueur, guests had a chance to sample the culinary godfather’s superior taste in food and music

Israel Aharoni is a bit of a culinary legend: having mastered the art of cooking in the Netherlands, Taiwan and France, he opened his first Chinese restaurant in Tel Aviv in 1981. Since then, he’s run six more, authored a range of bestselling cookbooks, and become the host of numerous TV cooking shows. On a balmy day in late September, we got to witness his skills and welcoming spirit at Soho House Tel Aviv, Jaffa at a One Night Only event in partnership with St-Germain.
Aharoni prepared a special menu of yellow kohlrabi tartare, rice paper rolls, Dushpera dumplings, steamed seabass and pomegranate-glazed lamb chops – perfectly paired with St-Germain cocktails. We were also lucky enough to see him stepping up to the poolside DJ booth in between dishes – the chef is well-known for his taste in tunes almost as much as his creative food.
