The Soho House Amsterdam art collection, curated by Soho House Global Director of Art, Kate Bryan, acknowledges the profound history of Dutch art

The permanent Soho House Amsterdam art collection was curated site specifically by Global Director of Art for Soho House, Kate Bryan. It acknowledges the weighty history of Dutch art, including a self-portrait collection in the main club space, which is an homage to Rembrandt and Van Gogh, two of the greatest self-portraitists of all time. The wall features pieces by Fiona Tan, Marcelle Hanselaar, Billy Childish, Catherine Opie, Ming Wong, Clare Woods, and Lisa Brice.

In the cinema lounge is another contemporary collection that references the great golden age of Dutch landscape oil painters with works by established artists, such as Tacita Dean and Charlotte Prodger, alongside more emerging names like Sanja Marusic and Rui Matsunaga.

On the ground floor in Cecconi’s, the selection of work all draws inspiration from Dutch still lifes and Vanitas paintings, including pieces by Fleur van Dodewaard, Zoë Buckman, Mat Collishaw, Addie Wagenknecht, Gordon Cheung, Ina van Zyl, Manon Wertenbroek, and Wouter Venema.

Alongside the Dutch artists featured in these international thematic collections, the House displays a large number of other local artists, including museum-level figures such as Studio Drift, Esther Tielemans and Amie Dicke.
