High Road House

Refreshed in its entirety in 2023, the art collection at High Road House brings together artists from across the capital and beyond

The new collection was curated by Jack Lazenby, Soho House Art Collections Assistant Manager, and is split into three sections. It seeks to interrogate traditional motifs such as the figure, still life and landscapes by showing the diverse ways they are treated by artists today.

The figuration section of the collection features artists who call Chiswick home, such as Sir Peter Blake, Sharon Walters and Maryam Eisler, as well as Rene Matić, Gray Wielebinski, Sarah Maple and Jake Grewal, with perceptions of the body at the centre of their practice. A new site-specific mural engaging with the idea of the body in art was created for the refresh by Alexandria Coe in summer 2023.

In the still-life room, you can find a vast array of mediums and approaches to the subject, including artworks by Polly Morgan, Magali Reus and Michael Landy, among others. Conversely, the private dining room presents an eclectic range of landscapes by artists such as Tania Kovats, Levack and Lewandowski, and Paul Davies.

The basement features two mini collections, the ‘Help’ portfolio created by international artists to raise money for charity during the pandemic, and a women-only selection of the original monochromatic artworks curated for the House.
