A playlist from Wonderfruit festival’s Jason Swamy
The festival founder and DJ shares his pick of tracks to inspire fresh ideas
HONG KONG – As the founder of one of Asia’s biggest festivals, Hong Kong member Jason Swamy is an expert when it comes to curating an experience that’ll motivate creative innovation. While it’s unclear when we’ll be able to see live music performances on a festival stage, Swamy points out that technology offers an opportunity to uncover boundary-pushing talents – many of which can be found on his playlist for Soho House.
‘The inspiration for the playlist was the zeitgeist of COVID-19,’ Swamy says. ‘A time where you are physically static and developing a deeper digital relationship with the internet; living through the lens of the laptop. I want to fill this headspace with sonic vignettes that conjure pensiveness, introspection and exploration.’
