While we're excited to open our doors, we know that your time at the club will feel a bit different. In order to maintain our operation and continue to open additional spaces and accommodate members, your cooperation is paramount. We are counting on you to abide by mask guidelines and social distancing requirements as we aim to provide the safest House possible.

Keeping you safe

To keep everyone safe and healthy, our team members will be wearing masks. We kindly ask all members and guests to wear a mask while at the House except when eating or drinking, regardless of vaccination status.

Additionally, we have actioned increased disinfection and cleaning of all high-contact surfaces, including tables, bars and door handles.
If you or your guest are feeling unwell, please do not visit the House.
We have rearranged areas at the House to ensure there is increased spacing for you, and facilitated one-way traffic wherever possible.

Our menus are available digitally to limit physical contact between members and our team. Sign up for House Pay through the SH.APP for a contactless way to settle your bill.

We want to accommodate as many members as is safe, therefore you will be limited to the area in which you are seated. Per local guidance, our indoor club spaces are open at 50% capacity.

Per the governor’s orders, you should self-quarantine for 10 days if travelling to New York internationally or from any noncontiguous state or territory.
We will not allow enter to any member or guest who has traveled internationally or to a noncontiguous state or territory in the past 10 days unless they have tested out of the mandatory 10-day quarantine.

Smoking is not permitted at the House.

You will be asked to take your temperature at reception upon arrival. If your temperature is above 100.3 degrees, you will not be allowed to enter the House.

On arrival, we ask you to use hand sanitizer provided by us, which is also available throughout the House.

Member reservations and guests

The Living Room, Garden, Parlor, Lou’s, and Velvet Room are available on a first come, first served basis seven days a week.

Dining reservations are available in the fourth-floor restaurant. For dining reservation inquiries, please email [email protected].

 

Members visiting the House without a dining reservation are welcome to walk-in on a first come, first served basis with one guest.

It’s important that we know who is spending time at our Houses, so we will be collecting contact details of any guests arriving at the club. Please invite your guests through the SH.APP, and remind them to register themselves ahead of your visit.

All underage guests ages 1 to 20 are allowed in the House until 7pm as a member’s guest allowance.

The Living Room and Parlor are open on a first come, first served basis. Indoor dining will resume at 25% capacity on February 12.

The Garden is open on a first come, first served basis. Indoor dining will resume at 25% capacity on February 12.

Lou’s is open on a first come, first served basis. Indoor dining will resume at 25% capacity on February 12.

The Velvet Room is open on a first come, first served basis. Indoor dining will resume at 25% capacity on February 12.

The fourth floor restaurant is open for dining. For dining reservation inquiries, please email [email protected].

Laptop and phone policies

Living Room, First Floor: Laptops are permitted until 6pm daily.
Garden and Parlor, First Floor: Laptops are not permitted.
Lou's, Second Floor: Laptops are permitted until 6pm daily.
Velvet Room, Third Floor: Laptops are permitted all day, except when there is an event taking place.
Fourth Floor Restaurant: Laptops are permitted until 6pm daily.

Phone calls are permitted in the stairwell, Velvet Room, and the fourth floor Orchard Street terrace.

Sitting Room: Laptops are permitted until 6pm daily.
Library: Laptops are permitted until 6pm daily, except when there is an event taking place.
Restaurant: Laptops are not permitted.
Terrace: Laptops are not permitted.
Roof: Laptops are not permitted.

Phone calls are permitted by the elevators and in the library.

Drawing Room: Laptops are permitted until 6pm daily.
Vinyl Room: Laptops are permitted until 6pm daily, except when there is an event taking place.
Main Bar: Laptops are not permitted.
Restaurant: Laptops are not permitted.
Roof: Laptops are not permitted.

You can use your credits at the House for food and beverage or bedroom bookings.  Please present your physical membership card for the smoothest redemption process. Please be sure to activate your credits and accept the terms and conditions ahead of your visit.
