Weddings at Babington House
Built in 1705, Babington House is a Grade II-listed manor set in 18 acres of English countryside in the heart of Somerset, 30 minutes from Bath. The House, grounds and estate provide an ideal venue for a unique and personal wedding, with 33 bedrooms, a Cowshed spa, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts, and a cricket pitch
On the day, you will have the run of the House, with accommodation across 33 bedrooms, a Champagne reception with bites, followed by your wedding dinner in the Orangery, drinks, dancing, and a DJ until late. Breakfast is included the next morning, as well as flowers and lighting. You can party as loud and as late as you like – there’s no curfew, because we’re surrounded by sheep and fields. The Church of St Margaret is situated on the grounds and we can help arrange your church or civil ceremony
The ceremony
The Church of St Margaret offers the ideal location for your ceremony. Dating from 1748, it features an octagonal cupola flanked by urns, with arched windows and a single bell. During the warmer months, outdoor civil ceremonies can be arranged on the croquet lawn. We also hold civil ceremonies and non-religious weddings in the Orangery and Library
The food
Dinner is served in the Orangery, overlooking the grounds and lakes through the floor-to-ceiling windows. We offer three-course sharing menus for the dinner, which have been designed to be enjoyed family style. They have been carefully curated to encompass British food using locally sourced produce from the Walled Garden. The menus are ever-changing in line with the seasons

Working closely with them, we can help take care of everything, from stationery and decorations to photographers and entertainment, ensuring your day is bespoke and memorable
Bedrooms
Your guests’ bedrooms will range from small split-level rooms to large family rooms, all with a bath, a large rainforest shower and plenty of Cowshed products. The Playroom – with its huge bed, freestanding bath, fully stocked mini bar and views over the grounds – will be for the wedding couple
