How Babington House did Glastonbury

Fully kitted out bell tents, complimentary St-Germain hampers and DJ sets on the lawn – last week, guests pitched up in style for our pop-up festival event

The time of standing in a field among strangers listening to the artists that have got us through these past few years are, thankfully, back. But all good things come at a price. Camping at festivals means forfeiting everyday luxuries such as fresh bedding, hot showers, and flushing toilets.

For the happy campers at Babington House last weekend, their festival experience was a far cry from the norm. The 30 spacious Bell Tents onsite were equipped with a comfy double bed, fluffy robes, and hampers by St-Germain for members to make their own spritzes. Alongside the glamping was a large dining tent, a barbecue, two bars on the lawn, and live DJ sets.

There was also the whole of Babington House to explore: the 1705 Grade II-listed manor, 18 acres of the English countryside, a lake, a cricket pitch, and tennis courts. Plus, guests could enjoy the best of Soho House dining at the Orangery, the indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and the Cowshed spa.
