Join the Soho House Inclusivity Board

Since day one, Soho House has been a place where creators thrive and connect. This comes in all shapes and forms: from buzzing meeting rooms and quiet spaces for nurturing ideas to rooftop pools and bars where unforgettable social moments happen. We understand that today it is more important than ever to make our spaces, events and initiatives inclusive, diverse and accessible. We believe in a future where everyone feels welcome – and the Soho House Inclusivity Board is our way of maintaining the maximum accountability in making this happen. As we’re looking for more members to join our board in different countries, you too can help us make this a reality. 
 
The Soho House Inclusivity Board was established in June 2021. It’s part of the broader commitment of addressing racial injustice in an effort to make Soho House a more inclusive and representative space – which is outlined in our pledge, published in 2020. Currently, there are more than 30 people across the world – the board is open to members and non-members (but not Soho House employees to ensure an objective standpoint) who meet once a month to discuss and advise on the company’s efforts and initiatives.   
 
‘Diversity and inclusion cover such vast topics and there are so many different facets that require nuanced thought all over the world: what diversity and inclusion conversations look like in Hong Kong are approached from a totally different perspective to what it looks like in Los Angeles or Berlin,’ says Jamila Brown, Head of House Foundations, who works with the board directly. ‘Having these advisors has helped us to shape our strategy, our work, our programming, and our progression towards our goals. With the company growing and welcoming more creatives from all over the world, we’re working to ensure that Soho House remains a home for a diverse creative membership globally.’

As we expand, we open opportunities for additional advisors to join our board. If you are passionate about building inclusive spaces, active within the creative industries, and have local expertise and connections in the DEI space, we’d love to hear from you. Compensation includes complimentary membership during your two-year tenure, a retainer for a monthly meeting with our team, and contra on your Soho House account to experience the spaces.
