It’s been a challenging couple of years for the hospitality industry. From Brexit-related logistical issues to the rollercoaster ride of lockdowns brought on by COVID-19, there’s been something of a ‘one step forward, two steps back’ mentality. 

But with these challenges come opportunities – and for Soho House, one of those opportunities was being able to really think about what makes our team unique. ‘This is a people business,’ says founder Nick Jones. ‘And without the people who work for us, and the people who look after our members and the members’ guests, we would be nothing. You don’t need a lot of experience to work at our Houses, because we will show you: we will train you, we will mentor you, we will encourage you.’

We spoke to Jones and members of the team from all over the world about passion, progression, and how enthusiasm can be just as important as experience.
