Ever considered what your House pool towel might say about you?
Each of our unique towels could be seen as an expression of the Soho House to which it belongs. So, which one is most you? Samuel Muston gives us the rundown

Here at Soho House, we express ourselves in all sorts of ways. Whether it’s through our menus, our furniture or our music, we always want to give a sense of place. We even do it with our pool towels. From the sunshine yellow of Downtown LA and the classic red and white of Shoreditch House, to the pink and green of Mumbai – every towel could be seen as an expression of the location to which it belongs. Here’s our tongue-in-cheek rundown of what your towel says about you.
Soho House Mumbai
The pink of the towel matches the pink of the sunset across Juhu Beach. The pool is a respite. Their diary is packed. Their creative agency has just dropped its first line of merch. But there’s always time for a Chicken Kathi roll on the rooftop, on their towel.
Shoreditch House
They were an entrepreneur at 18 and can charm the birds from the trees. There is no better person. Find them on the rooftop at Shoreditch House – though they’d never dream of sneakily reserving a lounger with their bespoke specs and Shoreditch House towel…
White City House
There’s always a smile on their face and they’ll probably marry their high-school sweetheart. They spend their summer lunchbreaks sunning themselves on the rooftop at White City House. Has never nicked a towel from the poolside. Ever.
Soho House Amsterdam
Design Week is their playground. As is the pool. No hair is blonder, no CV longer. They look like they’ve been sculpted by Bernini and have had more muses than the Ancient Greeks. You’ll find a well-used bottle of factor 50 on their pool towel, in addition to their tablet and stylus – they’re never without it.
Soho House Rome
Aperitivo is their religion; as is Valentino. They have been the inspiration for half a dozen poems. Their roof terrace at home boasts four of their own Soho House Rome towels (which they bought with their own money, thank you very much), but they prefer the vibe at the House, certo.
Soho House Nashville
Their jeans are vintage, their glow perennial, and they spend most mornings meditating and tending to their kombucha. Come summer, their pool towel is their meeting room. Working with them? Anticipate a powwow on the rooftop at Soho House Nashville.
Soho House New York
They will provide, they will gather, they will hunt out an Old Fashioned at 40 paces. They only take exec Ubers and always politely ask the server, with whom they’re on first name terms, for a couple of extra towels (they like the way they feel against their skin).
Soho House Berlin
Their hair is jet, their skin is dewy and triathlons are a walk in the park. The world swoons at their feet and they never go to bed on a weekend, yet somehow look healthier than the rest of us. Must be all those hours spent on the rooftop over the Berlin summer.
Soho Warehouse
They manifested their way to the top. They’ve got four scripts to read by the poolside and will probably turn them all down sighting creative integrity. They sign the bill with a smiley face. They went to an A-lister’s wedding, but would never post a picture.
