Still haven’t decided where to spend the four-day break? The clock is ticking…

The birds are singing, the flowers are blooming and pavement culture is back. Yes, it’s finally springtime in Europe, which means the continent’s capitals are in that sweet spot where good weather meets lots of buzzy new things to do.

With our European Houses’ bedrooms offering now well into double figures, the Easter break is the perfect opportunity to stretch your post-winter holiday wings – meaning you can explore and enjoy all your chosen city offers, plus the benefits that come with a stay at your favourite home away from home.

Here are our top five picks for a four-day escape this Easter.

1. Berlin

April average temperature: 14°C
Does any city do high-low better than Berlin? Whether it’s meandering in Mitte, keeping it cool in Kreuzberg or bouncing off the walls in Berghain, Berlin always delivers, and Soho House Berlin – located in a historic Bauhaus building a euro’s throw from Alexanderplatz – is the perfect springboard to all of it. That’s if you can tear yourself away from the House itself.

The new seven-day events roster will keep spring-breakers busy (Sunday’s Gospel Brunch and the Monday Night Club – featuring DJ Hinna – are among the line-up for the long weekend), while newly opened The Store X at Cecconi’s Lounge offers a curated edit of fashion, furniture, music, art and books, alongside DJ sets, cicchetti and cocktails – Thursday to Saturday nights.

Add to that the sun-drenched rooftop pool, Cowshed spa and hammam, and the impressive art collection (including Francesco Gioacchini’s new mural), and a short stay at Soho House Berlin becomes practically mandatory.

2. Paris

April average temperature: 16°C
Every season is the right season to wend your way to the French capital, but a visit to the City of Lights in April – when every corner of every arrondissement is bright, vibrant and bustling with life – is to prove all the cliches about springtime in Paris to be true.

And where better to base yourself for a weekend of indulgence (the shopping, the food, the culture) and exploration than the Art Deco-chic surroundings of Soho House Paris, where the sumptuous 1940s-inspired interiors mirror the eclectic charms of its surrounding Pigalle neighbourhood.

Whether you choose to spend your day by the rooftop plunge pool, making the most of the state-of-the-art gym and sauna or partying in the Cabaret Room (the House is ‘the best place’ to continue the night, says Emily In Paris star, Lucas Bravo) – Soho House Paris brings it every time.

3. Amsterdam

April average temperature: 13°C
With the tulips in full bloom, the canals busy with boats – available for hire by the hour, FYI – and nightlife spilling merrily across the cobblestones, Amsterdam has a well-deserved place in our Easter destination wish list – not least because back at Soho House Amsterdam itself, spring is also most definitely springing.

You’ll find a special menu being served at Cecconi’s the entire weekend; there’s Teeny House for the kids to enjoy on Easter Monday, and the roof (not to mention its pool) will be officially open for business that day, too.

In between, get out and explore some of the city’s hidden gems, such as funky independent gallery, Eenwerk. Located south of the Vondelpark, this sleek confection of concrete is where art meets design meets fashion (Martin Margiela’s exhibition was a recent highlight).

4. Rome

April average temperature: 19°C
The Eternal City is a consistently excellent shout for a weekend of fashion, food, culture and general Gram-ability. Top that off with a stay at Soho House Rome and that already sure-fire stay will hit brand-new heights again.

Located in bohemian, artsy San Lorenzo, with 360° views across the city from the 10th-floor rooftop (complete with a pool, bar and restaurant), the House is the perfect base from which to explore – or escape – the city.

And that’s before we get to the new state-of-the-art gym (there’s even a cryogenic chamber), wide-ranging events programme – a Mini Swing Gang Band set is just one highlight from its Easter weekend schedule – and an art collection to rival that of pretty much any in the city (sorry not sorry, Michelangelo). We kid you not when we say you might never want to leave.

5. Shoreditch, London

April average temperature: 11°C
Dr Johnson had it right when he made that statement about how being tired of London is akin to being tired of life: there is just so much to do – which makes the English capital the perfect destination for city breakers and staycationing Londoners alike. And Shoreditch House, located smack bang in the buzzy, beating heart of buzzy, beating east London, serves as your access-all-areas pass to all of it.

Get the party started on Friday night with award-winning DJ P Montana’s night of upfront grooves, Sweet Destination, and round off the weekend with a breathwork session from Oxygen Advantage master, Daniela Rubino, on Easter Monday. And there’s still plenty of time to hit the shops, clubs, galleries and more in between. Or simply hang out by the rooftop pool with its city views or relax in our on-site Cowshed spa.

With such a lot to choose from, you may leave feeling a little spent – but we guarantee you won’t be anything close to being tired of London. Or of life.
