This holiday season, we invite members to donate toiletries and personal care products to the UK charity committed to making hygiene essentials available to all

Throughout the month of December, Soho House Foundations is partnering with Beauty Banks – a non-profit organisation dedicated to combatting hygiene poverty – to make toiletries and other hygiene essentials available for everyone.

Founded in 2018 by author and broadcaster Sali Hughes and beauty PR Jo Jones, Beauty Banks is powered by the belief that being clean is a basic human right. It works with leading beauty brands to redistribute toiletries that might otherwise be destined for landfill.

Over the past five years, Beauty Banks has distributed products to more than 600 charities, foodbanks, youth centres, refuges, asylum centres, prisons and schools across the UK. This year has been its busiest to date, with over 225 new charity partnerships formed – an increase of 75% from the previous year.

To champion the initiative and ensure it continues, Soho House is encouraging members to donate hygiene products to Beauty Banks through our three London drop-off points: the reception areas of Shoreditch House, 180 House and White City House. Beauty Banks will then collect all the donations made and deliver them to local charities near the three Houses.
