Spend a day at Soho House Hong Kong
From morning workouts in the three-floor gym to evenings spent dining in the Harbour Room, here one of our members shares how they enjoy their time at the club

This year, we’re celebrating five years since the arrival of Soho House Hong Kong. In that time, we’ve welcomed many people from the city’s creative community to work, relax and socialise. And some members like to spend full days at the House, tapping in for a morning workout or to take a breakfast meeting, and staying with us until late into the evening.
There are plenty of ways to enjoy a day in the House. Located in a 30-storey skyscraper in the Sheung Wan neighbourhood, it features a three-floor gym, screening room, three dining spaces – including Italian restaurant Club Cecconi’s and the main club area, which serves dim sum and traditional Chinese food – and a museum-level art collection featuring works by artists born, raised and trained in the city.
To inspire your next visit, member, Soho mentor and founder of AI wellness app Relief X, Jessie Li, shares how she makes the most of the club from morning to night.

Wellness-boosting mornings
The House is just as suited to members looking to start the day by breaking a sweat as those wanting something more relaxed, thanks to a three-storey gym and social wellness space.
‘When I arrive, I head to the gym,’ Li says. ‘The House offers great classes, but I prefer to train on my own. I usually start off with some resistance weight training.’
The fitness space at the House offers TechnoGym machines, Watson gym equipment, AssaultBikes, BeaverFit training rigs, and a free-weights area. The timetable of daily classes includes HIIT and Pilates, with personal trainers on hand for one-on-one training sessions. It’s not all about workouts, though: ‘I always head to the sauna to relax once I’m finished in the gym,’ Li adds.

A space to work (and eat)
‘Following a quick shower using the Cowshed products in the House’s changing rooms, I’ll make my way to the Drawing Room on the 27th floor and find a seat at one of the sunlit tables,’ says Li. ‘Feeling focused, I’ll order a coffee and zone in on emails.’
Members use the House’s space to work, take meetings and network with other members – and when lunchtime comes around, there are four different food offerings available. The club menu, served in the main club space on the 29th floor, is inspired by Hong Kong’s diverse food scene and its vibrant flavours. On the 30th floor, members can enjoy Middle Eastern-inspired dishes and grilled favourites. The Drawing Room on the 27th floor serves breakfast and afternoon tea.
For Li, however, lunch is spent in Club Cecconi’s on the 28th floor, where she meets her Soho House mentee. ‘We’ll catch up over a Butter Lettuce Salad, Penne Alla Vodka and Baked Zucchini Flowers,’ she says.
A trip around the neighbourhood
The House is set in the buzzing neighbourhood of Sheung Wan, home to an eclectic mix of restaurants, coffee shops, galleries and retail spots. ‘After lunch, I like to get some fresh air and walk to the nearby market on Hollywood Road, which is a local bazaar,’ says Li. ‘It’s full of antique shops and art galleries. You’ll find everything from vintage clothes to ceramics.’

An evening of entertainment
No two evenings in the House are the same, with an ever-evolving schedule of events and music programming – plus plenty of space to dine, drink and socialise. For Li, an evening usually begins in the Harbour Room on the 29th Floor with an Eastern Standard – one of Soho House Hong Kong’s signature cocktails – in hand.
‘There’s nothing quite like the views from the Harbour Room,’ she says. ‘On one side, you can look over Hong Kong’s famous skyline, and on the other you’re met with views of Victoria Harbour.’
For dinner, Li recommends the club menu, served in the main club space on the 29th floor and inspired by Hong Kong’s diverse food scene. ‘The dim sum is my favourite – it’s the perfect way to start a fun night out with friends,’ she says. ‘I get the Beijing Pork and Cabbage Dumplings when they’re available and my go-to, the Prawn Toast – few places that aren’t the authentic local restaurants get it right, but Soho House has got it down.’
There’s no shortage of evening entertainment within the House. Head to the screening room to catch the latest film release or an old favourite – ‘the best bit is that you can order drinks and snacks from the comfort of your seat,’ Li adds. If you prefer to see out your night with a party, the House hosts resident and special guest DJs throughout the month, with events like Club Sounds showcasing some of the best talent in dance music from around the world.
