There’s nothing like a roaring fireplace. From the ambient heat to the gentle, ASMR-esque crackling and the oh-so-flattering light – it’s so relaxing that it’s almost hypnotic. And with cold temperatures here for the foreseeable future, it’s the ideal time to factor a bit of fireside time into your schedule. So, for your lounging convenience, we’ve rounded up some of our favourite fireplaces around the Houses – and we’ve even given you the drinks to match.
Babington House: Eggnog

Add the egg white to a large tin, and then add your aged spirit, milk, cream and simple syrup to your small tin. Combine the ingredients and dry shake until you have a nice smooth texture. Add ice, then shake hard and quick with cubed ice. Fine strain into a tasting glass.
