With a new look and a refreshed menu, our Japanese restaurant is back at our outpost in the Oxfordshire countryside

Back in 2015, Soho Farmhouse became the first of our clubs to host Pen Yen, the Japanese restaurant specialising in izakaya-style dishes. Since then, members have enjoyed a menu featuring dishes from the robata grill, alongside sushi, sashimi and bao buns, and Pen Yen has popped up at more of our Houses around the world.
 
Now, we’ve reopened the restaurant at Soho Farmhouse’s Boathouse with a refreshed concept and menu. Updated interiors bring a light, fresh approach to the space that overlooks the Boathouse lake, inspired by the aesthetics of an English botanical nursery with earthy tones and floral prints throughout.
 
The updated menu features a new yakitori section that includes Pork Belly with ginger miso and Beef with soy, chilli and garlic. We’ve also given our beloved House favourites a refresh and introduced some exciting new dishes. Try our Crispy Rice with your choice of wagyu or tuna tartare toppings, King Prawns with yuzu kosho butter, or Napa Cabbage with togarashi.
