It’s no secret that shopping can be overwhelming at times. Whether you’re after a new piece of furniture for your home, revamping your skincare routine or you simply want to treat yourself to a new bag, the options are never-ending – especially when browsing online.

Thankfully, the Soho House editorial team is here to help you decide what’s worth the investment with our new weekly round-up of the hottest products to shop. From the best in beauty and fashion to interior must-haves, and beyond.

This week, we’ve got our eyes on transitional outerwear, practical (and not so practical) accessories, and some joggers that are destined to be an off-duty hit.

1. The transitional jacket

It feels trite to put a superficial spin on the unpredictability of the weather these days (climate change really is such a bummer), but the inconvenient truth is that trans-seasonal dressing is basically three months of hedging your style bets to ensure you’re neither too hot nor too cold. We think Mr P.’s Metis jacket, with its relaxed blouson silhouette and supple suede finish, treads the line perfectly.

2. The Chelsea-by-way-of-Stockholm boots

A chunky tread sole (the clompier the better) is fashion’s current obsession when it comes to winter footwear – and it should come as zero surprise that Ganni is doing some of the best. Super chunky, with a rubber-reinforced toe, they’ll let you clomp to your heart’s content.

3. The customised Rolex

You don’t have to know anything about watches to know that a Rolex is close to god tier. Customised exclusively by Minds, this Daytona timepiece has a perpetual chronometer movement that boasts 28,800 vph and 31 jewels, as well as Swiss-made calibre 2236 automatic movement with 55-hour power reserve. If any of that makes sense to you, we’d love you to explain it to us.

4. The all-season bucket hat

If there’s anyone we can trust to surprise us with ‘didn’t know we needed it; now desperately want it’ accessories, it’s Simon Porte Jacquemus – and AW22 brings with it yet another revelation: it’s apparently not always (just) about novelty factor over at Jacq HQ. With its high-low aesthetic, this Le Bob Gadjo bucket hat is undeniably fun, but it’s also practical in a way that we wouldn’t necessarily expect from the French designer (looking at you, Le Chiquito mini bag).

5. The shearling shoulder bag

With all the above said, it never pays to be too practical, so with that in mind here is Jacquemus’s Le Bambidou. Shoulder bags, with their slightly naff 2000s associations, lost their cachet in the 2010s – but now that we can’t get enough of naff, they’re back in favour. And if they come complete with an oversized link strap crafted in shearling, all the better.

6. The parachute joggers

With the growing ubiquity of the parachute pant, it seemed only a matter of time before we saw the resurgence of what can only be described (by us, at least) as the Sopranos-adjacent shell suit. And with the arrival of social media favourite The Frankie Shop’s sliced and diced joggers, it would appear that moment is upon us. Paulie would be so proud.

7. The Hot Ranger beanie

In case anyone from The Elder Stateman’s design team is reading this, we have some questions for you – specifically about the identity of the eponymous hot ranger, and how his hotness came to be commemorated in beanie form. Until we have answers for you, our reader, here’s the need to know: this tie-dye beanie has been rib-knitted in Italy from plush cashmere for a snug fit.

8. The sustainable sportswear

1990s sportswear design signatures are once again on our radar with Ahluwalia’s Shakti coat. Crafted with waved panels that are cut from deadstock and recycled fabric, the piece embodies the nostalgic spirit that draws on designer Priya Ahluwalia’s Indian-Nigerian heritage and London roots.

9. The manifester crystal

Originating in India’s Kullu Valley, and sourced for She’s Lost Control by a team of specimen miners, climbers and artisans, this peach-coloured Himalayan quartz is said to help us on our own journey of transformation and self-discovery, connecting us to the guidance and wisdom of thousands of years of mystic records.

10. The new cowboy boots

If there’s one thing we know about shoe hybrids, it’s that even when they’re bad, they’re pretty good. Whether it’s the wedge trainer, the kitten-heel flip flops, or the platform Croc, there’s something about these Dr Frankenstein creations that, no matter how nonsensical, seem to speak to us on an almost primitive level. Case in point: these high-heel cowboy boots. No one asked for them, they fly in the face of common sense, and they’re also nearly sold out – so run like the wind.

11. The must-have mittens

Mittens season is almost upon us, and we’re disproportionately taken with Quinton Chadwick’s lambswool pair – not just for the bold block stripes and ombre detailing, but because the brand is passionate about maintaining traditional knitting skills and uses specialist factories in Scotland and Nottingham, as well as hand-frame knitters in Cornwall.
