With fashion month in full swing, the Met Gala taking place tonight and LFW starting next week, designers are processing what fashion looks like now and moving forward. LaQuan Smith’s interpretation of the state of fashion blends a mix of comfortability and sensuality. Last Thursday, the designer hosted the first-ever runway show at the top of the Empire State Building, symbolising New York’s comeback and the return of glam.

Amid his show's afterparty at DUMBO House, Smith and Soho House Membership Manager Lucinda Sinclair hopped in the House Studio, powered by Genesis Motor America, to chat about empowering women via dress, dream fashion show guests, and the evolution of the LaQuan Smith brand.
