Everything that went down during The Luckman Club’s opening
From a performance by Nile Rodgers to a cocktail reception with the House’s Founder members, discover the happenings at our newest space in West Hollywood
Friday 1 November 2024 By Chloe Lawrance
To mark the arrival of this new space, which will be used for both member and private events, we hosted a line-up of exciting celebrations. Guests joined us for dinners with chefs from Michelin-starred restaurants, film screenings and cocktail receptions – plus a performance by musical legend, Nile Rodgers. Scroll on to see the highlights.
Tuesday 15 October
To kick off proceedings, we invited Founder members from each of our Los Angeles-based Houses – Soho House West Hollywood, Soho Warehouse and Soho House Holloway – for a cocktail reception in The Luckman Club. Members mingled and explored the space while sipping Margarita Sirenas, made with reposado tequila. Alongside the party, there was also a special drop-in tequila tasting experience in the club’s private dining room.
evian x One Night Only with chef Michael Cimarusti
Wednesday 16 October
For a special One Night Only dinner for members, we welcomed chef Michael Cimarusti to the club to prepare a seafood-focused menu that included dishes like Live New Bedford Scallops, Roasted Wild Striped Bass, and House-made Hawaiian Chocolate with smoked cream gelato. Cimarusti is the owner of two Michelin-starred restaurants local to Soho House West Hollywood: Providence, a fine-dining seafood restaurant, and Connie & Ted’s, a more casual seafood spot on Santa Monica Boulevard.
Throughout the evening, evian – the premium, mountain-made natural spring water – was used in the cocktails paired with each course, designed to complement flavours in the dishes.
Thursday 17 October
Soho House has always been a place where members are able to catch unmissable live music – and for the opening week of The Luckman Club, guests were treated to a performance from the legendary Nile Rodgers. Throughout his set, he shared stories behind some of his hits, such as ‘Let’s Dance’, which he wrote with David Bowie at a moment when the pair were both about to be dropped from their record labels.
Monday 21 October
To celebrate the release of Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Animation’s new animated feature The Wild Robot, members of the film industry gathered for a special screening of the movie, followed by an intimate reception in The Luckman Club. As part of this event, Kris Bowers (an Oscar®-winning composer who created the film’s score) and Maren Morris (co-songwriter) performed the lead song from the soundtrack, ‘Kiss The Sky’.
