Soho House Toronto hosted an off-site event full of wellbeing activities, cocktail classes, and gatherings

Located on an island amid South Tea Lake in Algonquin Park, Camp Tamakwa is known for its vast forests and clear waters. Members escaped the city for a long weekend to the summer camp owned by Soho House Toronto member, Michael Budman. Check out all the highlights below.

Friday
12pm: arrival at Soho House Toronto
Members met at the House to travel to the camp together to unplug and reconnect.

4pm: welcome to Camp Tamakwa
Located on an island, the camp is only accessible via boat. Members enjoyed a welcome cocktail as they settled into their cabins for the weekend. 

8pm: dinner, dancing, and a movie
After a curated dinner, members watched a TIFF pre-screening, then danced to the sounds of Toronto locals, DJ Jayemkayem and Freeza Chin.

Saturday
10am: outdoor activities
From canoeing and swimming to archery, members enjoyed traditional summer camp offerings from breakfast into the early afternoon. 

4pm: yoga and House Tonic mixology class
An afternoon of wellbeing activities kicked off with yoga followed by aura readings. Alternatively, Soho House bartenders led a House Tonic workshop to teach members how to recreate their favourite drinks from the Houses.

9pm: dinner 
Saturday night culminated with a campfire-lit live performance by Toronto singer-songwriter, Daniela Andrade.

Sunday
9am: send-off 
After a leaving brunch, members waved goodbye to their new connections and camp home, boarding coaches back to the city.
