Inside the Soho House Paris+ art fair 

Last week, Paris celebrated the arrival of the brand-new art fair, Paris+ par Art Basel. Supported by Porsche, the fair launched with more than 170 dealers, attracting an international crowd of artists, curators, art professionals and the finest of Parisian creative crown. To mark the occasion, Soho House Paris hosted a special night in collaboration with Sultana gallery and commissioned an installation by roster artist, Matthias Garcia, who brought his piece to life with support from Porsche. 
 
Garcia graduated from the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 2020, quickly gaining notoriety in the city’s art scene. His paintings often merge nature and human forms, drawing inspiration from plants and animals alongside video games, fairy tales and folklore. The installation he created for Soho House, on display by the pool, references The Little Mermaid and its fantastical aquatic world, combining painting with video to tell the classic story. 
 
To celebrate the installation, guests gathered in the club’s Cabaret Room for special cocktails inspired by the artworks and live performances, including an intimate set by 070 Shake. See highlights from the night below.
