With events calendars packed with programming from day to night, our Houses are full of members connecting, celebrating and toasting to a good time. Last week, we celebrated Juneteenth with a screening in New York, an art battle in Chicago and an unforgettable party in Miami. Over in the UK and EU, we watched the first European Grand Slam of the season with Lacoste, and in Bangkok, we partnered up with Yearbook for an all-night party.
Read below for the highlights.

Juneteenth at DUMBO House
In celebration of Juneteenth, DUMBO House screened the world premiere of Candyman – the short film for TRAKGIRL’s latest single directed by Micaiah Carter, and starring TRAKGIRL and Vic Mensa. After the screening, members joined NO ADTNL, a creative company focused on empowering BIPOC creatives, for a conversation on the process of Black music and filmmaking. There was, of course, a party to celebrate the moment, too.

Roland-Garros live in partnership with Lacoste, White City House
We partnered with Lacoste to host a series of screenings last weekend of the 2023 French Open women’s and men’s final at Ludlow House, White City House, and some of our European outposts. Members watched the greatest players compete for this year’s trophy in the first European Grand Slam of the season while enjoying a Parisian-inspired lunch spread, Lacoste giveaways, and live analysis from tennis professionals – the next best thing to actually being at Roland-Garros in the flesh.

Juneteenth: Battle of the Artists, Soho House Chicago
ChiGivesBack and Paint The City teamed up for our third Juneteenth live art showcase at the House. For this year’s event, titled ‘Battle of the Artists’, 20 local Chicago artists were tasked with completing a piece inspired by Juneteenth on a blank 16in x 16in canvas in 90 minutes. Proceeds from the event benefitted ChiGivesBack’s ‘Random Acts of Kindness’ initiative, which supports supplemental giving opportunities in the local Chicago area.

Celebrating Kenny Scharf’s I’m Baaack! exhibition opening with NANZUKA UNDERGROUND, Cities Without Houses Tokyo
Our Cities Without Houses Tokyo community celebrated American pop-surrealist artist Kenny Scharf’s return to the city after 30 years for his solo exhibition I’m Baaack! at NANZUKA UNDERGROUND.
Tokyo’s leading creatives attended the intimate dinner and included artists Keiichi Tanaami, Haroshi, Tetsuya Nakamura, Beni, Daisuke Gemma, Kosuke Kawamura, MADSAKI and Mariya Nishiuchi, among others. An afterparty followed overlooking Tokyo tower with Perrier Jouet Champagne, and DJ EZ and Tom Yeti on the decks.

Yearbook x Soho House Bangkok
Arc Press, Tyezine and Soho House Bangkok joined forces to host Yearbook, a party at our House Kitchen celebrating Thailand’s vibrant creative scene. Members shopped a market of emerging creators and makers; viewed a mini exhibition by @tul_rexx, @ppowcenter, and @fuguriddim from @television.gallery; and danced to Abandon Radio from Chiang Mai, spinning dance-worthy tunes well into the evening. For those not ready to call it a night, Alec Orachi and Master Bogus hosted an afterparty.

DUMBO’s fifth birthday party
Last week, our Brooklyn House celebrated its fifth birthday. DJ sets from Statik Selektah, MICK and MORESOUPPLEASE set the tone, while John Stessel performed magic tricks and members snacked on bites from our new menu.

Juneteenth celebration with Octavia Yearwood, Soho Beach House
In Miami, award-winning author Octavia Yearwood hosted a night celebrating African American joy, freedom, education and achievement, with curated DJ sets and more. The event honoured five community leaders for their work throughout South Florida and beyond.
