Inside our top events around the Houses this week

2023 is down to its final days, and we’re making the most of it with festive celebrations across our Houses. From Wonderfruit with Soho House Bangkok to our winter market with Perfect Moment at Soho Farmhouse, scroll on for the year’s final highlights. Wonderfruit with Soho House Bangkok
For the first time, Soho House Bangkok hosted special activations for members and guests at Wonderfruit. The four-day event began on Thursday, as Hong Kong DJ collective Yeti Out got the party started and kept the crowds dancing until 3am. Elsewhere, at the Fermentation Rehydration Station x Philip Huang’s Indigo World, members made fermented drinks and enjoyed a hands-on journey through fermented seasonal fruits. 

Refreshing Picantes were served at a Picante Picnic on Friday, followed by a performance from Lonely Girls Club, with an eclectic mix of R&B, dancehall, Afrobeats, and hip-hop. Saturday featured a dinner at the Theatre of Feasts hosted by chef Prin Polsuk of Samrub Samrub Thai and Krua Luuk Rieang. 

To round out the festival, adults and children alike embraced their creativity by crafting beaded necklaces with Soho House Bangkok’s Head of Membership & Communications, Lynn Visudharomn, followed by brunch at the Theatre of Feasts on Sunday.

Winter market with Perfect Moment, Soho Farmhouse
Our festive market returned for another year at Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire, with two days of baking and wreath-making workshops, as well as more than 40 stalls filled with last-minute gifts. The House’s Barwell Barn and pop-up Orangery were transformed into an apres-ski area for members to chat, relax and enjoy some festive treats. In partnership with ski wear brand Perfect Moment, a ski-themed photo booth was set up at the end of the Orangery, where members dressed up and snapped pictures.

In Conversation: Jeff Staple, Soho House Nashville
Over in Nashville, sneaker and streetwear icon Jeff Staple joined members at the House for a conversation with hip-hop artist and entrepreneur Bun B. The pair discussed Staple’s book Not Just Sneakers with Rizzoli, as well as his long-lasting influence on today’s sneaker culture.

 

Winter wonderland cocktail class with Straightaway, Soho House Portland
To embrace the holiday season ahead of Soho House Portland’s opening, coming soon, we invited members to learn how to make two festive drinks with Straightaway Cocktails. In this hands-on class, they created the perfect shaken and stirred cocktails, before enjoying a guided tasting of each drink.

Festive food tour, Soho House Portland
Portland member and local content creator Em Daugherty, otherwise known as @foodiesnitch, hosted members for a festive food tour of Portland’s Central Eastside. Throughout the neighbourhood, they visited a mix of culinary spots that encompass both ‘new Portland’ and ‘old Portland’, with stops at favourites such as sousòl, Rontoms, and The Slammer Tavern.
