3. Movie nights

4. Chantelle Nicholson dinner at White City House on Tuesday

For one night only, New Zealand-born chef Chantelle Nicholson is taking over Studio 8 at White City House for a special dinner, supported by Oxley gin. Nicholson was the chef and owner of the much-loved and now closed Covent Garden restaurant, Tredwells, which received a green Michelin star in 2021. 

Tickets for the dinner are £45 per person, and include four courses with a welcome cocktail from Oxley gin.

5. Soho Presents: Omar at 180 House on Tuesday

180 House welcomes legendary British soul singer, songwriter and musician, Omar, for a night of smooth soul. Omar is one of the greatest musical talents the UK has produced in the past 40 years, and he has collaborated with Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu, D’Angelo, Soul II Soul’s Caron Wheeler, Angie Stone, and more. 

Please note, this event is open on a first-come, first-served basis, with no advance reservations. Doors open at 8pm, so arrive in good time to ensure your place.

6. Ruby Hammer’s capsule makeup essentials on Wednesday

Come to Shoreditch House for a talk and workshop with British-Bangladeshi makeup artist and entrepreneur, Ruby Hammer. She has worked with many of the world’s most celebrated photographers, celebrities, stylists, and models. In this session, Hammer uses her wealth of experience to show you her capsule makeup essentials. Watch and learn before asking any beauty questions you may have during a Q&A.

This workshop is held at Shoreditch House on Wednesday from 7pm until 8pm.

7. Short films: Akinola Davies Jr and Ella Ezeike on Wednesday 

The first of a new series where two short film creators are brought together to screen and discuss their work. For this inaugural event at 40 Greek Street, British Nigerian writer/ director, Akinola Davies Jr, will be showing Lizard, which was BAFTA nominated and won a prize at Sundance Film Festival. Alongside this will be photographer and filmmaker, Ella Ezeike, who will screen and discuss her film, Bluebird

The conversation following the screenings will be hosted by gal-dem’s culture editor, Kemi-Olivia Alemoru.

8. Club supper with Bandook at Babington House on Thursday

Modern Indian street food specialists, Bandook from Bath, are cooking up a feast at Babington House on Thursday. Discover Indian classics from chaat all the way to full-blown curries.

9. James Massiah presents at Shoreditch House on Thursday

South London-based spoken word poet and musician, James Massiah, presents a coming together of friends, artists and creatives from the London scene at Shoreditch House on Thursday.

10. Gilles Peterson at 180 House on Saturday

Gilles Peterson is performing at the first-ever House Party at 180 House, held this Saturday on the eighth floor and running from 9pm until late. The legendary DJ, broadcaster, record collector and tastemaker will be playing an all-vinyl set.
