From 1970s themed nights to formal dinners, members welcomed in the new year in style

There was no need to dwell on the past on New Year’s Eve as members celebrated the promise of tomorrow at our events around the world. In London, fireworks lit up the skyline as guests two-stepped into 2022 to the sounds of Raven Mandella and DJ Fat Tony. And in Hong Kong, members were transported back to the Swinging Sixties. Across the Atlantic, there was an all-white party in Austin and a black-tie gala in Toronto. Scroll down for all of the action.

Soho House Paris


To the Cabaret Room at Soho House Paris where it was cancan and canapes for members, including model and artist Willy Cartier. Guests enjoyed a sit-down dinner by head chef Nicolas Viel and toasted the new year with special Champagne cocktails.

Soho House Hong Kong


In Hong Kong, members were transported to 1960s London for their New Year’s Eve celebration. Guests dressed in 1960s formal partywear and danced the night away to a swinging line-up of vinyl DJs. Free-flowing drink, street-food stalls and a midnight Champagne toast topped things off.

Fireworks lit up the London skyline as members welcomed in 2022 at 180 House for our black-tie cocktail party, which was powered by Porsche. DJs Aymen, Jonny Cosmonaut and Johnny Reckless got the session started with a mix of floor-fillers that kept revellers going until the following morning. Start as you mean to go on…

Soho House Berlin 


Members dived into the blue at Soho House Berlin where guests, including Andrew Udeinya and Damla Yilmaz, dressed up in ultramarine hues for the night. House chef Andrea Torre rustled up a feast of Sylter Royal oysters, scallops and Dover sole, which everyone washed down with frothy Martinis and Champagne.

Soho House Barcelona


A dramatic night at the opera was held at Soho House Barcelona. A live band and opera singer performed while guests enjoyed an elegant dinner. When midnight struck, members got in the party spirit with drinks on the roof, overlooking the city and its fireworks.

Restrictions called for a socially distanced dinner at Soho House Rome, with an accompanying live performance by saxophonist and pianist Lorenzo Dada and singer Francesca Carbonelli, as well as a DJ set by Nu Soul City. The cocktail of the hour? Espresso Martinis all the way.

2021 was a year for festivals at Soho House Chicago. Performances and after-parties were held to coincide with Pitchfork and Lollapalooza, with appearances from Caroline Polachek, Flying Lotus, Erykah Badu and Thundercat, to name a few. The year came to a close with a classic New Year’s Eve party.

Soho House 40 Greek Street


Trust meme king and party-starter Fat Tony to fill up the guest list with the city’s cool crowd for our Porsche x Soho House party at Greek Street. Well-heeled guests partied to a mix of nostalgic club throwbacks and house music, while sipping on rum and gin fizz.

Soho Beach House Miami


The Miami House's year of events finished with a stacked Art Basel week of programming and a New Year’s Eve gala, where guests visited Ace Prop House + Studios for a dreamy party inspired by the hedonistic house parties of the 1970s. Indoor and outdoor dance floors, a hidden hip-hop room and food trucks kept partygoers entertained into the small hours.

Soho House New York, Ludlow House, DUMBO House

 

New Yorkers got down to a celebratory year and took every opportunity to fill the Houses with life. Highlights included a conversation with Dapper Dan, Gov Ball after-party shows, and three haunted Halloween bashes, and culminated in some classic New Year’s Eve parties.

Soho House Toronto


Soho House Toronto held a classic black tie event to ring in the new year, taking inspiration from fashion icon Tom Ford’s directorial debut, A Single Man (2009). Local creative studio Ghost Atelier created a custom installation, DJs Young Teesh and Nino Brown kept the vinyls spinning, and there was a surprise performance from London-based multi-instrumentalist, Cktrl.

Soho House Tel Aviv, Jaffa 


It was Saturday night fever in Tel Aviv as musician Uzi Navon and his DJ friends took everyone back to the 1970s with their retro and disco-inspired sets. Themed cocktails such as Purple Haze and Pink Floyd got members in the groove on the dance floor (complete with a glittering disco ball, of course).

Soho House Austin


To toast to the new year and the House’s half birthday, Soho House Austin held an all-white-themed party. There were drinks by Moët & Chandon, performances by jazz musician Joshua Banbury, vinyl sets in the Music Room, and a full live ensemble on the south terrace.
