Art has always been an integral part of the Soho House vision, with our global art collection being one of the biggest privately owned assemblages in the world. So, to bring together our art community ahead of Frieze London Art Fair opening this week, Soho House hosted an Artist Disco at Little House Mayfair.
As well as marking the annual event, the celebrations honoured the latest artists to join the Soho House art collection with a warm welcome. On the decks for special DJ sets were two visual art duos: Hannah Quinlan and Rosie Hastings (their latest show Tulips is now open at Tate Britain’s Art Now space), and George Henry Longly and Prem Sahib who run east London’s Ridley Road Project Space.
The works of all four artists are part of the LGBTQIA+ art collection at Brighton Beach House curated by Gemma Rolls-Bentley. After a speech from Kate Bryan, Soho House’s Global Director of Art, guests enjoyed Bombay Sapphire cocktails, a chat and a dance.
Notable artists from the Soho House collection including Sue Webster, Charming Baker, Michaela Yearwood-Dan, Sola Olulode, Miranda Forrester, Corbin Shaw, Annie Kevans and Joy Labinjo were all in attendance. All guests were also treated to a specially made print by Shaw as memorabilia from the night.
