Discover what went down as we celebrated the release of the movie of the year in our North American Houses

To celebrate the long-awaited release of the Barbie movie, we hosted a variety of events to bring the fantastical world to our Houses across the States. While some members viewed an advanced screening of the film itself, others hit up late-night parties, custom cocktails and poolside games. All pink, all Barbie themed, all lots of fun.

Official Barbie movie pool party, Soho House Austin
We transformed the rooftop into an oasis with floaties, photo opportunities, themed towels, and plenty of fuchsia cocktails throughout the day and night. Guests relaxed, socialised and partied into the early hours.
Barbie Summer Spritz, Soho House Toronto
Our usual Summer Spritz series was remixed into a dream world of pink outfits, pink backdrops, pink everything. Members celebrated a life in plastic by drinking, snacking and dancing the night away to the sounds of Alannah Sagici.
SunGay: Barbie World, Soho House Chicago
If the title wasn’t clear, this event was aimed at Kens who like other Kens, and this crowd sure made the most of the party. We had themed beach balls for games, T-shirts as a recommended uniform and towels for post-pool fun. And, of course, drinks, bites and music all day long.
Summer Fridays with Barbie and Wilhelmina, Soho Beach House Miami
Our cocktail hour came back with a Barbie-themed bang. Hosted by Wilhelmina Models, the night kicked off with the new member-favourite cocktail, a Soho Sunset courtesy of the pop-up Coco’s on Ocho. The evening was spent celebrating the release of the movie as we took over the entire House for the party. And the inflatables in the pool were a major highlight.
Barbie’s Soho Dream House party, Soho House Nashville
We went fully immersive at Nashville with a life-size toy box, where guests could step in for a photo – and, as you can see from the pictures, it was a success. In addition to this were sno-cones, poolside games and uplifting music.
Barbie rooftop soiree, Soho Warehouse
If there was ever a spot for a Barbie-themed extravaganza, this was it. Ending our tour of the movie release, guests enjoyed custom cocktails by the pool, photo opportunities and lots of fun in the sun.
