Inside our Art Week parties and happenings in Mexico City
From private gallery tours to a gothic chaotic party, Soho House showed up in our next new opening location

When it comes to art and design, Mexico City is the place to be right now. Last week, it kicked off the 19th edition of its Art Week.
Comprising multiple fairs across the city – including Zona Maco, Feria Material and Salón Acme – it’s the largest art fair in Latin America. And, in anticipation of our first Latin American House opening later this year, we were there for it.
In true Soho House style, we hosted a line-up of parties and events to match the electric exhibits and installations that took over the city, and give visitors a taster of what to expect when the new House opens.
The week began in historic Guadalajara, in the state of Jalisco, for a pre-art fair kick-off. Members enjoyed tours and a brunch at the legendary De LA O Cantina in partnership with José Noé Suro of Cerámica Suro, before heading off to Mexico City.
Two days of exclusive gallery tours offered future members access to Salón Acme and Feria Material’s top artists, while restaurants Botánico, Salón Rosetta and Contramar fuelled attendees for further exploration of the visual art on display. On Thursday night, in partnership with Feria Material, we hosted a special performance by artist SERAFINE1369, curated by Michelangelo Miccolis.
And the highlight of the week? A gothic chaotic party inside the former church, Iglesia Anglicana, featuring sounds by AKA Priest, Miss Mara and Rosa Pistola, which kept guests dancing into the early hours of the morning.
