You’re spoilt for choice with brunch options in west London, so how do you know which place to pick for the most civilised meal of the day? We share our seven favourite spots close to Electric House.

202 WESTBOURNE GROVE
202 Westbourne Grove, W11; 202london.uk
Located on one of west London’s most stylish shopping streets, this brunch spot is part concept store, part modern eatery. Grab a late breakfast (the brioche French toast is particularly good) and a matcha latte in the light filled dining room, then head down to the boutique to find contemporary clothing and accessories from independent designers.

DAYLESFORD FARMSHOP
208-212 Westbourne Grove, W11; daylesford.com
Stock up on artisan goodies sourced from Daylesford’s organic farms in Staffordshire and the Cotswolds before sitting down to enjoy a leisurely brunch. Start with a cold-pressed juice or a dairy free nut latte made from cashews, cold brew coffee and dates, before trying the Bircher muesli with local yoghurt and seasonal fruit, or eggs Benedict with Gloucester ham from Daylesford’s own smokehouse.

SNAPS + RYE
93 Golborne Road, W10; snapsandrye.com
If you know your smorgasbord from your smorrebrod, you’ll love Snaps + Rye, a modern Danish cafe-cum-shop on Golborne Road. Settle into one of the reindeer-fur covered Eames chairs before deciding between Nordic kedgeree – wild mushroom risotto topped with smoked salmon that’s cured in-house – or comforting buttermilk oat porridge with homemade berry compote, toasted hazelnuts and seeds. If you need a little hair of the dog, ask for a schnapps – you can also buy beautiful bottles of this from the ‘shop’, alongside Skandinavisk candles and ceramic espresso cups.

GRANGER & CO
175 Westbourne Grove, W11; grangerandco.com
One of the restaurants responsible for bringing Aussie-style brunches to London, Bill Granger’s original Notting Hill outpost serves all the self taught cook’s signature favourites – think ricotta hotcakes with honeycomb butter, toasted coconut bread and jasmine tea-smoked hot salmon with poached eggs, greens, avocado, cherry tomatoes and furikake. Wash it all down with an Allpress coffee or spiced almond milk chai.

GOLBORNE ESPRESSO BAR & DELI
100 Golborne Road, W10; golbornedeli.com
Nestled among the antique shops and cafes of Golborne Road, this espresso bar and deli is a well-kept local secret. Grab a table outside if you can, and tuck into Parma ham, eggs, pastries, quinoa granola or a sizeable sandwich filled with scrambled eggs, parmesan, rocket, pancetta and spicy nduja sausage.
Diner-style booths
ELECTRIC DINER
191 Portobello Road, W11; electricdiner.com
Set beneath the House, and open to all, the Electric Diner is where you come for your dirty, retox-style brunch fix. Think Philly chilli cheese dogs, grilled cheese sandwiches with Dijonnaise and sides of mac‘n’cheese to soak up any hangovers. Cocktails at brunch are de rigueur here; we’d recommend trying the twist on the Bloody Mary or the sloe spritz, which is gin and Lillet Blanc charged with champagne.

FARM GIRL
59a Portobello Road, W11; thefarmgirl.co.uk
A favourite with the fashion set, Farm Girl Notting Hill is the original cafe from Aussie-born Rose Mann and her boyfriend Anthony Hood. It’s a bright but cosy space that brings a dollop of LA-style sunshine to west London, as well as coffee from The Roasting Party and a holistic all-day brunch menu. Start with a Rose latte (a double shot with rosewater-infused milk and petals), before moving onto the Instagrammable acai bowl or the island breakfast: sweet potato with labneh, avocado mash, poached eggs and hazelnut dukkah. When the sun shines, bag the coveted pink table in the courtyard – four-legged friends are very welcome, too.
