Andrew Carnie, CEO

Andrew Carnie has been CEO of Soho House & Co since November 2022.
A seasoned leader renowned for his commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience, he is passionate about offering Soho House members a ‘home away from home’ and staying true to the brand’s heritage and exclusivity.
Andrew’s flair for creativity and expertise in scaling global operations, improving profitability and creating culturally relevant experiences has led to Soho House’s continued success after 30 years.
During his tenure as CEO, Soho House has achieved market leading member retention of over 90%, successfully delivered exponential growth doubling the size of the business and growing into 22 countries including new markets such as Latin America and South East Asia. Andrew conceived the company’s first ‘club within a club’ with Soho Mews House, Mayfair and the second Farmhouse concept in Ibiza. He has led the growth of the digital first, luxury interiors brand Soho Home which has seen a tenfold increase in sales & profits over the last five years and is one of the fastest growing areas of the business.
Previously serving as President of Soho House in September 2020, Andrew also held the position of Chief Commercial Officer from June 2019 to September 2020.
Before joining Soho House, Andrew held senior executive roles at Anthropologie, a subsidiary of URBN. From 2013 to 2016, he served as Executive Director for the Home division in North America, before becoming Global President of Home and Garden in 2017 where he created ‘Anthropologie Living’; a luxury digital-first aspirational interiors business which increased the group’s revenues and profits five times.
From 2017 to 2019, Andrew became Global President of Anthropologie and served on URBN’s board. He was instrumental in driving the digital transformation of the business, increasing mobile first sales eight times, while delivering an immersive luxury shopping experience online and instore. Andrew successfully spearheaded the brand’s expansion across UK, Europe, Israel and China which contributed to establishing Anthropologie as a highly valued lifestyle brand worldwide.
Prior to Anthropologie, Andrew held senior positions at Home Retail Group where he was responsible for the commercial and brand development of Argos and Habitat, two prominent UK based retailers. He led the acquisition of both brands to Sainsbury’s in 2011 and played a pivotal role in the design, sourcing, marketing and merchandising transformation.
Away from work, Andrew is a keen sportsman and participates in ultra-marathons and endurance events, principally to raise funding for CentrePoint, of which he is a Trustee. His interests include cooking and golf. Originally from Manchester, he lives in London with his wife and three children.
