Soho Farmhouse Ibiza

Soho Farmhouse Ibiza’s art collection celebrates works made by artists who are based in or connected to the Balearic Island. Featuring three site-specific installations, this is the first House to feature an outdoor light installation
Soho Farmhouse Ibiza presents 70 artworks on permanent display across the property by 21 artists who have a relationship with the island. The collection focuses on those who were born, are based or trained in the Balearics and features three large site-specific installations.
One of these is inside in the Library – the first sculptural ceiling installation in the global art collection by Natalie Rich, which comprises of over 200 handmade pieces. Outside the main building resides Jesus de Miguel’s largest sculpture to date – a two-metre tall Inmudus that takes inspiration from the Fameliars – the protective genies of Ibicenca mythology. In the gardens is the first outdoor light art piece in the collection by Javier Riera. Made over the course of several months of plotting both the skies and gardens, the light projection imagery cycles through a seven-minute sequence.
The collection features a diverse array of media, from large-scale paintings by Mallorca-based Grason Mikal Ratowsky to earthy abstract works by an artist with a studio very close to the Farmhouse, Malvina Kang Hughes. There are several textile-based pieces, including Adrián Martínez’s dyed woollen work – a pendant to which is in the permanent collection of Museo de Arte Contemporaneo de Ibiza (MACE) and a large-scale tapestry in carritx and esparto by Adriana Meunié from Mallorca. The site’s neighbour, Stefan Brüggemann, whose work is already a firm fixture of the London Soho Houses, has created two gold paintings. Alongside these, three artists demonstrate a fascination with the boundaries of photography: Mar Guerrero, Georgia Merton and Cristina Stolhe.
The bedrooms all feature original artworks by Georgia Merton, Malvina Kang Hughes, Felicity Rowbotham, Li Ramet, and Stella Rahola Matutes.
