To celebrate the launch of our debut interiors space on London’s King’s Road, we have invited a curated selection of members to turn the venue into their workspace. While these pop-ups will only be running until the end of October, you can get to know them here and follow their work online.

Shoreditch House member, Kay Gasei, is Soho.Home.Studio’s first artist in residence and can be found creating towards the back of the space. He studied illustration at Oxford Brookes before returning to London to continue his artistry, working across illustrations and paintings.

He is also the creative director of two apparel brands: God Bless Da Trap and Amo Amas Amat. In fact, while occupying Soho.Home.Studio, he can often be found wearing self-customised clothing and is welcoming similar commissions. Gasei’s work is often laden with symbolism, and contemplates history and mythology. As for what inspires him, his answer is all-encompassing: ‘Everything – really, anything and everything. I look at old and new; ancient stories and current events. I enjoy trying new mediums. Right now, I’m learning signwriting and how to tattoo.’

Watch the video above to see Kay Gasei at work in the Soho.Home.Studio.
