Babington House

House guidelines

Our Houses are private places

Our members' privacy is very important, so please don't bother anyone you don't know. Posting about fellow members on social media is not allowed.

Keep it casual

We're a members' club for people working in the creative industries and we have a relaxed dress code. Please make sure your guests know this too.

Look after your membership card

Your card is your responsibility and should only be used by you. It cannot be transferred or borrowed by anyone else. If you lose it, please let us know.

Phones and laptops

Communal spaces in the House are phone call-free areas, so please keep your devices on silent. If you need to take or make a call, please do it quietly in the reception area or the terrace outside. View where you can use your laptop here.

Guests are welcome

Babington House members can sign in up to three guests at any time. If you would like an extended guest list, please call ahead to arrange. You are responsible for your guests' behaviour, so please keep an eye on them and make sure they call it a night when you do.

Guests at the pool

The pool at Babington House is reserved for our members and bedroom guests. Children must be bedroom guests or have a Child membership to swim. Child members and child bedroom guests can swim from 9.30am-11.30am and 3.30pm-6pm, Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays. Children who are bedroom guests may also swim from 9.30am-11.30am Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays.

First come, first served

There's generally no need to book but, if you're planning ahead, we do take reservations in The Orangery, Deli Bar and Log Room. If you would like to eat with more than three guests, please make a booking in advance.

Children

Babington House is a members' club for adults, but children are welcome.

Kids Tea is served between 5pm and 7pm in the Log Room.

We allow bookings from 7pm for children above 14 in the Orangery, however the Bar remains child free from this time.

Teeny House and the Loft are members-only spaces. Child members aged one and over can visit Teeny House for a maximum of one hour per day, and must be signed in and out by an adult. Child bedroom guests can be left for a maximum of two hours per day. The Loft is for children aged eight and over. Access to Teeny House and the Loft are on a pre booked basis. To enquire about Child membership, email applications@sohohouse.com.

Pets

Dogs are welcome in the gardens and in the Library at Babington House, but please keep them on a lead. Do not leave pets in your car. Legally recognised service animals are, of course, welcome everywhere in the House.

Soho Health Club

Please note that our gym, steam room and sauna are for members and bedroom-guests only. Members must be aged 16 and over to use the gym, which is open every day from 7am-10pm.

Settling up

We don't offer credit at the Houses, so please pay your bill when you leave.

Illegal substances

Any member found to be buying, selling, using or possessing illegal drugs while on House premises will have their membership terminated

These are general guidelines for the House, please refer to our full terms and conditions for further details

If you have any questions, please feel free to speak to our reception and member relations teams. They're always happy to help.
