As part of our commitment to fund and empower diverse creative talent worldwide, we’re looking for new charities and organisations to receive grants

In 2023, we launched The Soho House Foundation, a charity issuing grants globally to fund and empower creatives from underrepresented and lower socioeconomic backgrounds. As a global community for creatives, we see first-hand the benefits of providing opportunities for diverse talent to flourish – and these grants support organisations doing brilliant work to help young people through the arts.

This year, we’re looking to continue this work, and applications for the 2024 grant programme are now open. We would like to hear from charitable organisations making an impact in increasing access to the arts and creative industries for people who face economic or other barriers to inclusion, in communities where we have members, including Cities Without Houses locations.

The Dinner Table Doc, based in Brooklyn, New York
An educational charity that empowers and uplifts young women of colour by fostering leadership skills, reinforcing self-identity, and nurturing health and wellness.

‘We are so grateful for our partnership with The Soho House Foundation, which allowed us to host three days of events with 85 young people in the Brooklyn area. These events gave students exposure to new careers and connected them to potential mentors. We’re excited to continue to expand on this work by assisting those students to build meaningful relationships with mentors and obtain internship opportunities.’  – Asha Boston, founder

Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra
, based in New Orleans
A Grammy award-winning American orchestra with a mission to provide transformative experiences for audiences of all ages across the New Orleans region.

‘Our education programmes are thriving, thanks to support from The Soho House Foundation.  We’ve been able to reach over 3,000 more students through concerts and expand our music mentorship programmes to use orchestral music as a way to educate, empower, and uplift the youth of greater New Orleans.’ – Anwar Nasir, executive director

Roots, based in Berlin
BIPOC advocates who host community-based activities and projects that focus on the holistic wellbeing of the community.

‘The positive results [we’ve seen] show the empowerment that can be realised through creative community work. We are pleased to be able to utilise the funding from The Soho House Foundation to expand on what we do and effectively support even more of the BIPOC community in Berlin. We’ll be continuing our work with more community-based events in the future.’ – Naima Nazir, cofounder and head of operations

UD Music, based in Stratford, east London
A London-based music organisation that brings communities together around Black music and Black music culture. With the help of The Soho House Foundation grant, UD Music hosted the Record Label project, its school outreach programme with four schools across east London.

‘The project has been an incredible experience for our students – developing their understanding of creating music and boosting their confidence in doing so. It has also engaged students with the music industry, especially the production side. UD Music tutors Taniesha and Cameron were fantastic, and our students enjoyed working with them.’ – Emma Pain, head of music at Bow School
