When is Soho House Stockholm opening?
This winter – just in time for cosy season – Soho House Stockholm will mark our second Scandinavian opening, following on from the success of Soho House Copenhagen earlier this year. As ever, it will be a hub for both local and global members to come together to connect, collaborate and enjoy a Picante or two.
Where is Soho House Stockholm located?
In what is a first for us, the House is located in a former church on Majorsgatan in central Stockholm, which runs parallel to the city’s most popular street, Nybrogatan. This is home to many of its best restaurants, cafes and stores (one of the highlights of which is the Acne Archive).
Like all of our outposts, Soho House Stockholm has been created as a home away from home for our members. Built across a mezzanine floor and retaining many of the building’s original features, it’s also one of our most beautiful interior spaces. Here’s everything you need to know.
How much does membership cost?
Membership at Soho House Stockholm will cost 26,000 SEK a year for access to all Soho House locations globally, and 15,000 SEK a year for access to Soho House Stockholm only.
What’s special about Soho House membership in Sweden?
Its location in a former church aside, our second House in Scandinavia will be a relaxed, welcoming place for the Swedish capital’s ever expanding creative community to come to eat, drink, enjoy live entertainment, and soak up the atmosphere.
Each of our 38 Houses is individually tailored to its host city. At Soho House Stockholm, the main club will be the prime space for eating and drinking. The menu will feature signature Soho House favourites, alongside additional local dishes. Downstairs, you’ll find our Italian restaurant, Club Cecconi’s, which is open all day and serves a regularly rotating menu of authentic Northern Italian dishes, using the finest ingredients and handmade pasta.
A first look at the design and member spaces
The Soho House Design team has curated a colour palette full of rich Art Deco-inspired shades for Soho House Stockholm that are drawn from – and complementary to – Sweden’s historic architecture.
The ambience will be comfortable and classic, with touches of Scandinavian interiors influences, such as prints by Swedish designer Cathy Nordström and vintage furniture from across the region in every room.
As ever, the House art collection has been hand-picked to fit the heritage of the building and its location. It will only feature the work of contemporary artists born, based or trained in Sweden.
Meanwhile, the Library will be a cosy space downstairs. It includes a bar in the centre of the room made out of multi-coloured lacquered panels with a thick brass top. Similar to the Library at New York’s DUMBO House, this particular space is designed to be very much like a drawing room – the ideal spot, in other words, for intimate meetings and drinks.
Local House membership gives you access to Soho House Stockholm, while Every House membership allows you to visit Soho Houses across the globe.
