Everything happening at Soho House Austin during SXSW

March marks the arrival of SXSW to the city of Austin, bringing together tastemakers from across the worlds of music, film and culture from Friday 8 to Saturday 16 March. There will be lots going on during the festival at Soho House Austin too, where members will be able to rest and recuperate, socialise with friends, or get involved in our line-up of events. Over the nine days, we’ll be hosting parties, performances and panels in the House – scroll on to discover more.

Porsche kick-off party, Thursday 7 March
The festival events begin in the House with our official kick-off party, powered by Porsche. Alongside a special appearance from acclaimed hip-hop group Souls of Mischief, this will also be an opportunity for members to be some of the first to see Porsche’s festival art installation, created in collaboration with Austin-based AI-engineers, Valkyrie AI.

FoundHer Friday: happy hour and panel, Friday 8 March
Part of the House’s International Women’s Day celebrations – which also includes performances from an all-women line-up featuring The Pinky Rings and Kikimora, presented in partnership with LaCroix – this panel will celebrate the stories and successes of some remarkable women. Expect an enlightening conversation between Renata Black of EBY, Karen Cahn of IFundWomen, Jaclyn Johnson of Cherub and Janice Omadeke of The Mentor Method, moderated by Sarah Chen-Spellings of The Billion Dollar Fund for Women.

Secret Soho Sounds, Saturday 9 March
For this edition of Secret Soho Sounds, in partnership with Patrón, our special guest – who comes from Philadelphia – is known for his skills on the drums. Members won’t discover their identity until the performance begins, but previous acts in this series have included Aitch, Sugababes and James Blake.

Soho Rising showcase, Sunday 10 March
Our platform for championing the best emerging talent in the industry, Soho Rising events are the place for members to catch up-and-coming acts, with previous performers included Arlo Parks, Griff, Joy Crookes, Yussef Dayes, and Holly Humberstone. For this showcase, members will enjoy a day of live musical acts set to become the stars of tomorrow.

Festival afterparty with The Black Keys, Monday 11 March
Whether you’ve spent the day at the festival or you’re simply looking to celebrate, head to the House for a DJ set by Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney of The Black Keys to mark the debut of their new documentary, This Is A Film About The Black Keys at SXSW.

House Comedy: Morgan Jay, Tuesday 12 March 
Tuesday will begin with a sunrise yoga flow with Nike, before members are invited to a panel on the future of influencer marketing with YouTube creator marketing expert, Elizabeth Del Valle; executive producer of Shade Studios, Marissa Hill; founder of Ponte Firm talent management, Shana Davis; and TikTok strategist, Taryn Lamb. This will be followed by a night of House Comedy, with Morgan Jay taking to the stage. Born in New Jersey, Jay honed his craft at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York City and has made appearances on MTV’s Wild ‘N Out, NBC, and Comedy Central.

A fireside chat with Jay Shetty, Wednesday 13 March 
Members are invited to join bestselling author, award-winning host of the On Purpose podcast and entrepreneur, Jay Shetty, for a special Q&A. By translating ancient wisdom into practical, relatable advice that resonates with people from all walks of life, at this fireside chat, Shetty will share insights for incorporating purpose into daily life.

Diggin’ Thru The Crates, Friday 15 March
Jarobi White from A Tribe Called Quest, DJ Alizay, DJ B-Sharp and a host of special guests join us for this unique curated music event. Members are invited to dig through old and new vinyl records, picking whatever song or album they would like to hear – the result promises to be a one-of-a-kind evening of music.

Closing House Party, Sunday 17 March
As the festival comes to an end in the city, we’ll be marking the moment with a special closing House Party, our signature series of late-night House takeovers. Guests can enjoy Picantes while soaking up the sun by the pool, with a soundtrack provided by DJ and producer collective Pangea Sound.
