February is an ideal time to visit Mumbai. Wall-to-wall sunshine and balmy temperatures aside, it’s also the month that our Soho Retreats will be taking place in India’s creative heartland.

An immersive getaway, the retreat will take place across four days from Monday 19 to Thursday 22 February in and around Soho House Mumbai – our first outpost in Asia that sits on a wide stretch of Juhu Beach.

Pack your bags and prepare to realign your body and mind for the year ahead – all while practicing yoga in its birthplace, and sampling some of the organic vegetarian food for which this vibrant corner of West India is so well known.

Over the course of the retreat, Soho House Mumbai will host a variety of physical and mental wellness experiences, with help from some of the most celebrated practitioners in their fields; from healers Annida Tattva and Lia Casal, to breathwork expert Dr Omprakash H Gaur and chef Tanvi Shah.

On arrival, you’ll settle into the retreat with a one-on-one Ayurvedic consultation with Dr Dimple Jangda and her team from the Prana Healthcare Center. Designed to help you discover your body type and build a dietary plan based on your imbalances, the ancient Indian practice of Ayurveda is built around the belief that a healthy body is a foundation upon which a strong mind and soul grows.

Tattva and Cassel will raise the tempo after your consultation with a cacao heart-opening ceremony and dance session, which will take you on an inner journey through vibrational frequencies. This will be followed by a dinner and mixer at Soho House Mumbai, accompanied by the sights, sounds and smells of Juhu Beach and beyond. 

On Tuesday, you’ll start the day with some breathwork, led by Dr Gaur, followed by breakfast, and a session of energising Hatha yoga and restorative Lyengar yoga, also with Dr Gaur. After a light lunch on the eighth floor, the early afternoon will be spent first in a sharing circle before moving onto a Yoga Nidra guided meditation session. 

The day will finish with Yin Yoga and sound healing led by author, columnist and yoga teacher Ira Trivedi. Embark on a journey into Indian flavours later in the evening with a healthy, vegetarian Thali dinner served by our in-house chef Gautam Mehta. 

On Wednesday, the final full day of the retreat, you’ll have the chance to spend the day beyond the four walls of the House, exploring some of the wider wellness offerings in Mumbai. The day will begin early with a journey to the Gateway of India, followed by a short speedboat trip to Good Karma Farms in the coastal region of Alibaug, just south of the city. You will be taken on a farm tour and served lunch made with produce from the garden, before returning to Mumbai for a special 20-minute, reflexology-centred massage session at Metta Spa. The day will be rounded off with an organic wellness dinner, led by chef and author Tanvi Shah. 

On Thursday, you’ll start the day with an early morning sunrise yoga session by the pool with Ira Trivedi. The retreat will come to an end with a closing circle and breakfast, before it’s time to check out. Retreat price per bedroom, including full board and all activities, starts from $2,280 (two people) and $1,700 (one person).
