Everything to do at Soho Farmhouse

There’s a whole host of activities, from new ones like padel to old favourites such as clay-pigeon shooting, plus a refreshed gym and even more House Ride classes

There’s nothing better than a stay at Soho Farmhouse – whether you’re heading to the Oxford countryside to tap out from the hustle and bustle of daily life (in which case, the all-new Lazy Lab might be for you), or enjoy the fresh air with days full of activities.
If the latter sounds like you, there’s an abundance of things to keep you entertained while you’re there. Add to your agenda old favourites like clay-pigeon shooting, horse riding and a dip in the pool, or try our new addition, padel. We’ve also given the gym and tennis courts a bit of a refresh.

Read on to find out everything you need to know about staying busy at the Farm.

The gym
Part of the Soho Health Club, which also includes the Lazy Lake, Lazy Lab and spa treatments, the Soho Farmhouse gym is the perfect spot to work up a sweat during your visit. We’ve given the space an update, with extensive renovations including the Boathouse basement, now reopened with a steam room, sauna and changing rooms. The gym itself has been fitted with new flooring and includes a variety of hybrid training equipment, including BLK BOX rigs, turf, sleds, kettlebells and weights, Concept2 SkiErgs and BikeErgs, plus more bikes, and an outdoor rig and space for workouts.

If you favour fitness classes, our schedule has been updated to now include the likes of meditation and breathwork, yoga, barre, HIIT, and strength and conditioning sessions. In September, a new classical Pilates studio will open, offering reformer and tower classes along with private sessions. Plus, House Ride is back in the refreshed studio, with brand-new bikes and even more classes. And be sure to refuel with a drink from the all-new smoothie bar after your workout.

Padel courts
Tennis’s younger, cooler cousin, padel – one of the UK’s fastest growing sports – has arrived at the Farmhouse, with new all-weather courts now open. Featuring shorter rackets and a smaller court than tennis, the game is intended to be a social one, with up to four players taking part at once.

Hour-long slots can be booked via the Soho House app; for longer games, be sure to book consecutive slots. We’ll also be hosting a monthly padel social for both players and spectators to connect while enjoying music from our House DJ.

Tennis courts
An old favourite at Soho Farmhouse, our two tennis courts have undergone a full refurbishment. They can be booked via the Boathouse team; we offer hour-long slots for matches, or special one-on-one private coaching to help you perfect your technique.

Teeny Barn
Families are very welcome at Soho Farmhouse, with the Teeny Barn open to our youngest members. Inside, they’ll find a library, an outdoor sand pit and guinea pigs to care for, plus an adventure playground with a zip line next door.

Table tennis, boules and crazy golf
Feeling competitive? Try your hand at table tennis or boules, both located in the Farmyard. Head over to the woodland area and you’ll find one of Soho Farmhouse’s best-kept secrets: an eight-hole crazy golf course, each featuring unique obstacles for you to navigate.

Boating
The lake is perhaps one of the most relaxing spots on the whole of the Farmhouse grounds, and enjoying a few laps around it in one of our rowing boats is a blissful way to spend an afternoon. Head over to the Boathouse pontoon to pick up your boat, available during the spring and summer months.

Clay-pigeon shooting
Perfect your aim with clay-pigeon shooting sessions, available to book through member services or at reception all year round. Don’t worry if it’s something you’ve never tried before – each hour-long trap session is led by an instructor, and can be booked for small groups.

Horse riding
Embrace the spirit of Soho Farmhouse’s countryside location with some horse riding. We offer one-hour hacks, which are suitable for all levels of experience, from beginner to experienced riders.

Swimming
Located at the Boathouse and open from 6am to 10pm, the pool at Soho Farmhouse is pretty special. It’s indoor-outdoor nature, and the fact that it’s heated all year round, means you can take a dip no matter when you visit the Farm. We also often host poolside events, so keep an eye on the Soho House app for what’s coming up.

The stores
If you’re looking to take part in some good old-fashioned retail therapy during your trip, head to the newly expanded Soho Home store, where you can shop the collection, receive expert interiors advice from the team and take home an arrangement from Farm Flowers, the on-site florist specialising in hand-tied bouquets and floral displays. There’s also The Store X, our concept store selling a curated selection of fashion, art, music, books, and homeware.

Bikes
What would a trip to Soho Farmhouse be without a spin on one of the signature green bikes? The quickest and easiest way to get around the grounds (which are free from vehicles, apart from our vintage milk floats), they are available to use at any time.
