May’s has arrived at Soho House Nashville
A coffee shop by day and dive bar by night, our Tennessee outpost’s newest addition brings locally roasted coffee, diner-inspired dishes and a calendar full of events

Soho House Nashville just got a little brighter with the arrival of new neighbourhood spot, May’s. Formerly known as The Alley, May’s is a coffee shop by day and a dive bar by night, welcoming both members and the local community through its doors.
During the day, May’s serves fair trade coffee from local, member-owned speciality roasters 8th and Roast, including May’s Specialities. These unique drinks include the Mexican Ice Cream Truck (a blend of espresso, ginger, tamarind, vanilla and coconut milk) and the Grass is Always Greener (matcha with lavender agave and oat milk).
May’s evening drinks menu includes twists on member favourites, classic cocktails and beers paired with carefully chosen shots. And the food takes inspiration from dive bar staples: fried pickles served with marinara and ranch sauces, Wagyu beef hot dogs and a root beer float all find their place on the menu.
Alongside a permanent darts board and vintage pool table, the space offers a line-up of weekly events, designed to bring the local community together. Monday is Industry Night, with drinks specials and the opportunity for those in the hospitality sector to network, or just let their hair down. On Thursdays, May’s hosts Vinyl Night, inviting some of the city’s best vinyl DJs down to the space to provide a soundtrack for the evening.
Fridays at May’s are dedicated to building community connections with Meet Me at May’s. Each week, different members from the local area take over the bar for a unique evening of entertainment. Saturdays offer a more laid-back atmosphere with weekly games nights that include billiards, board games and even a regular Lego club.
And finally, May’s closes out the week with Sports Club Sundays. All the biggest sporting events will be screened inside the space – including baseball, basketball and more – depending on the season. And, of course, it’s not just about the professionals competing: the May’s team also host a Pony Race every hour, on the hour during the games, inviting attendees to race in finishing a pony-sized beer.
