How to make our new signature cocktail, The Secretariat

Secretariat Cocktail Recipe | Soho House

Sitting somewhere between an Old Fashioned and a Whisky Sour, here’s everything you need to know to recreate our new seasonal go-to at home

Thursday 1 December   By Soho House

With winter well and truly upon us, bourbon cocktails are the drinks of choice at Soho House (sorry Picante!). Full of smoky and spicy notes, bourbon pairs perfectly with our favourite winter flavours – think apples, maple, cinnamon and cloves.

To shake things up, we’ve partnered with one of the world’s finest bourbon makers, Woodford Reserve, to bring members a new cocktail – the Secretariat, named after the famous, record-breaking Kentucky Derby racehorse.

For those who love their bourbon all year around, you’ll be pleased to learn the Secretariat is joining our cocktail menu as a permanent staple, which means it’s here to stay.

Fancy trying your hand at it? Our friends at Woodford Reserve – owners of one of the oldest distilling sites still operating in Kentucky – have created this handy guide to mixing the perfect Secretariat at home.
