The extended bank holiday has landed. Here are all the celebrations we think you should have on your radar (and some live music, too)
Thursday 2 June 2022 By Jess Aureli
1. Jubilee afternoon tea at Shoreditch House
This Saturday, we bring the Platinum Party to the Shoreditch House Sitting Room. Expect the epitome of Britishness, with an afternoon tea featuring an array of crustless sandwiches, scones and cakes – plus, our live jazz band will be on hand to provide the tunes.

2. Jubilee afternoon tea at Babington House
See out the Jubilee weekend in style with a traditional afternoon tea on the croquet lawn at Babington House. Tickets are £45 per person and include a glass of Champagne.

3. Soho Presents: Self Esteem at Shoreditch House
Sit back and enjoy the sounds of Rebecca Taylor – aka Self Esteem – with her unique brand of truth-telling, life-changing lyrics.
Taylor’s album, Compliments Please, debuted in 2019, giving voice to feelings of insecurity and misogyny-induced frustration. Her second album, Prioritise Pleasure, released in 2021, was nothing short of a phenomenon, receiving countless five-star reviews.

4. House Party: DJ Semtex and friends at 180 House
We’re kicking off the bank holiday weekend with a Wednesday night special featuring the legendary author and radio presenter, DJ Semtex. Originally from Manchester, he cut his teeth in clubs like The Haçienda, before going on to host multiple radio shows, including Friday nights for BBC Radio 1Xtra. Over the years, Semtex has interviewed some of the industry’s biggest rappers including Kanye West, Drake, Jay-Z, and Skepta.

5. Old Dirty Brasstards on the lawn at Soho Farmhouse
As part of our Jubilee weekend festivities, head to the Fun Field to enjoy music from 10-piece brass band, Old Dirty Brasstards.

6. Platinum Jubilee at White City House
Head to the White City House rooftop for a royal celebration in honour of the Platinum Jubilee. Ellie Prohan will be bringing the vibes from 3pm to 8pm, and our House Kitchen will be serving traditional favourites – plus, there’ll be special queen appearances (naturally).
