The only thing better than a little healthy competition is healthy competition for a great cause. That’s why Soho Padel Club Cup is returning to Soho Farmhouse for a second year, taking over our Oxfordshire outpost on Friday 25 September in support of Prostate Cancer Research.

Prostate Cancer Research is working to create a world free from the impact of prostate cancer. It funds bold innovations to improve how the disease is diagnosed, treated and prevented, and campaigns for the policy changes needed to make those advances count.

So, join us for a day of sport, socialising and community, all while supporting our charity partner and competing for the coveted Soho Padel Club Cup. Hosted by BBC Sport broadcasters Jeanette Kwakye and Qasa Alom, the all-day event will see members battle it out in a mixed doubles tournament, with House DJs providing the soundtrack and Ridgeview serving its award-winning English sparkling wine.

Play begins with knockout rounds from 8am to 2pm, before the competition reaches its peak with the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and grand final from 3pm. The finalists will then be joined on court by a line-up of special guests, including Jordan Stephens, Ashley Walters, Richard Gadd, Alex Scott, Mo Gilligan, Aitch, Jill Scott and more, alongside leading padel players Aimee Gibson, Frankie Langan, Catherine Rose, and Louie Harris.

As the sun sets and the second-ever Soho Padel Club Cup champions are crowned, the celebrations will continue with a special players’ dinner in the Glasshouse. Complimentary for finalists – and open to book for guests – the evening will feature a four-course menu, accompanied by Ridgeview sparkling wine, beer, and soft drinks. During the dinner, there will be a panel discussion with special guests exploring the importance of early prostate cancer detection.

Through groundbreaking research into new diagnostic tools and pushing for evidence-based national screening, Prostate Cancer Research is helping build a future where fewer families lose the men they love. Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in men in the UK, with about 1 in 8 men diagnosed in their lifetime. Not everyone faces the same risk. Black men are twice as likely to develop prostate cancer, and 2.5 times more likely to die from it than white men. That’s why Prostate Cancer Research has invested £1.3 million in research tackling the inequalities that cost lives, while working alongside Black communities through its Empowering Communities initiative to build trust in healthcare and research, amplify lived experience, and ensure breakthroughs reach everyone impacted by prostate cancer.

All proceeds from tournament entry and players’ dinner tickets will go directly to Soho Padel Club Cup’s charity partner, Prostate Cancer Research.
