It’s March, which means SXSW is taking over the city of Austin with a packed schedule of events, panels and live shows across the worlds of music, culture, entertainment, and tech. Luckily for members, Soho House Austin is in on the action. With a premiere line-up of live music including fan-favourite Girl Ultra, and a series of Q&As and talks from the likes of Deepak Chopra and more, check out our line-up of can’t-miss events.

Porsche kick-off party with D-Nice, Thursday 9 March
We’re starting our week with a SXSW party, powered by Porsche, including a special appearance from acclaimed artist D-Nice. From the streets of Harlem all the way to The White House, legendary artist, DJ and photographer, Derrick ‘D-Nice’ Jones, has moved millions on wax, on stage, and in his revolutionary virtual ‘Club Quarantine’.

Andre Power from LA-based creative collective, Soulection, and Austin-favourite WellCaptured team up to bring Soho After Dark alive in the club. It’ll be a night you don’t want to miss.

Dante’s HiFi and Dolfin Records takeover with Ben Hixon and friends, Saturday 11 March
Texas record label Dolfin Records has been at the forefront of modern Texan music for years, releasing projects from Liv.e, Jon Bap, Black Dynamite, Pink Siifu, and many more. Brooklyn resident, industry heavy-hitter and The Lot Radio show host, Ben Hixon, joins us alongside the team from Dolfin Records to bring the signature sound of Texas to Dante’s in celebration of music week.

Q&A and meditation with Deepak Chopra, Sunday 12 March
Deepak Chopra, founder of The Chopra Foundation, a non-profit entity for research on wellbeing and humanitarianism, and Chopra Global, a modern-day health company at the intersection of science and spirituality, is a world-renowned pioneer in integrative medicine and personal transformation. For the past 30 years, Chopra has been at the forefront of the meditation revolution, and today he joins us at the House for a special Q&A and guided meditation.

Parks n Rec with Quiana Parks and Brian Henry: Lena Waithe’s official afterparty, Monday 13 March
Parks n Rec is a gathering of artists, musicians, dancers, poets and creatives curated by the vision of multidisciplinary artist Quiana Parks. The DJ, producer, visual artist, cancer survivor and philanthropist is known for her sonic canvas effortlessly blending hip-hop, house and R&B. Tonight, she goes back-to-back in the DJ booth with musical illustrator Brian Henry for Lena Waithe’s official Hillman Grad afterparty celebrating the premiere of Kokomo City and Being Mary Tyler Moore.

Soho Rising: James Vickery, Tuesday 14 March
British singer James Vickery first garnered attention for a series of singles, including ‘Lately’ and ‘Until Morning’, all of which paved the way for his 2021 full-length debut, ‘Songs That Made Me’. Tonight, he joins us at the House for a special performance on the terrace.

Soho Rising: Devon Cole, Tuesday 14 March
Devon Cole is a Canadian queer singer-songwriter who was recently nominated for a Juno Breakthrough Artist of the Year award and a Kids’ Choice Favorite Breakout Artist award. Her smash hit, ‘W.I.T.C.H.’, made history as Sony Music’s biggest pre-save campaign for any female artist and has more than 60 million streams worldwide. She brings her sound to the House for an energetic performance you don’t want to miss.

Founders’ journey: startup edition, Wednesday 15 March
Startup founders join us at the House to get real about the process of building a business. Hear firsthand from those in the mental health, wellness, travel and tech industries about how they’re navigating life in the startup world. The founders of Alkeme Health, Out of Office, Rainbo mushrooms and Diem will share the good, the bad and the ugly, while providing helpful insights and their experiences of fundraising, building a brand and team, pivoting, failing, and why it’s all worth it.

Healing House: circle of bliss, Wednesday 15 March
Wellness practitioner Assata Jones brings us the magic of Indigenous healing through a Kundalini breathing practice. This intense, powerful meditation was designed to activate the seven main chakras to their highest potential and help cleanse, purify and release emotional blockages, mental and physical traumas. Please arrive with a floor pillow and blanket.

Kings Council: the birth of a movement, Thursday 16 March

Join Rob Hill Sr, Preston Smiles and Quddus in conversation about how a collective of men responded to the murders of Ahmaud Arbery and George Floyd by starting a movement to empower Black men. For one night only, the founding members of Kings Council will share the story of how something that started on Zoom back in 2020 evolved into one of the most hopeful organisations dedicated to creating a world where Black men actively support each other in their pursuit of generational wellness and wealth.

House Sessions: Blxst, Friday 17 March
Blxst is a rapper, singer-songwriter and record producer from Los Angeles. His record label, Evgle, partnered with Red Bull Records for the release of his debut EP ‘No Love Lost’, spawning the hit single ‘Chosen’ featuring Tyga and Ty Dolla $ign. He recently made headlines as a feature on Kendrick Lamar’s hit single, ‘Die Hard’. Now, Blxst brings his sound to the House for a special performance.
