Raise a dram to Burns Night around the UK Houses

London may be far from Robert Burns’ hometown of Ayrshire, but you don’t need to be north of the border to celebrate the life and works of Scotland’s most famous poet. This Burns Night, we’ll be hosting traditional suppers in partnership with The Dalmore Single Malt Scotch Whisky throughout our UK Houses. 

With celebrations starting on Saturday 24 and continuing through to Tuesday 27, each evening centres around a three-course sharing feast, with the Houses dishing up their own take on time-honoured Scottish fare. For starters, expect everything from The Dalmore Whisky and Beetroot Cured Salmon to Venison Tartare, Short Rib Croquettes, and Girolle Mushroom & Leek Tart. As for mains, we’ll be serving traditional Haggis, Neeps & Tatties, alongside Highland Beef Shoulder, Chicken Balmoral with whisky sauce, or Isle of Gigha Halibut with cullen skink veloute. To finish, desserts include Cranachan, Tipsy Laird Cake or – the culinary classic – Deep Fried Mars Bar with vanilla soft serve. 
 
Diners will also enjoy traditional entertainment, including poetry recitals, musical tributes, live bagpipe performances, and ceilidhs. Of course, no Burns Night supper would be complete without a dram or two, so every dish will be paired with a whisky toast. 
 
Members can attend Burns Night suppers this month everywhere from Babington House in the Somerset countryside to 180 House right in the heart of London. Slàinte mhath.
