Opening week at The Ned NoMad
The new members’ club in Manhattan launched with a packed programme of parties and events

Seeing these beautiful wood-panelled rooms, dark marble floors and plush velvet sofas finally welcoming their first guests? You can’t imagine our excitement. Pop the Champagne – last week, The Ned NoMad in the heart of Manhattan opened its doors to Founder members and New York’s creative community. The pre-opening programme of parties and events was a glimpse into the club’s role in the future of the city – a social and cultural fixture, and a beloved hotspot for members from NYC and beyond. ¬
On Tuesday, The Ned NoMad hosted a private Vogue and Vogue Business evening for NFT.NYC week – with the global editorial director, Anna Wintour, among the guests. We also celebrated Pride with a party featuring British singer-songwriter Raye on Friday, and it was exciting to see the members’ spaces transform with different crowds. Music is integral to The Ned NoMad membership and atmosphere – Sister Sledge, Miguel, Q, Kendra Morris, Midnight Magic and Theo Croker were some of the first acts to claim the stage at Ned’s Club (a programme of nightly live music is on the cards).
The Thursday night Founder Party also deserves a special mention: Founder members brought the elegant limestone-faced landmark of the Johnston Building to life with their contemporary vision of glamour, excess, and simply a good time. The evening unfolded throughout the entire club, including Ned’s Club Upstairs with views over the city’s skyline. They alone are worthy of another visit (or 10), but so are the Northern Italian classics at Cecconi’s, the vibrant atmosphere at Ned’s Club Downstairs and the late-night cocktails – we can’t wait to come back for more.
