Inside the opening events at Soho House São Paulo
To celebrate the arrival of our new Latin American outpost, we hosted a month of parties, House tours and workshops for the city’s creative community

It’s been an exciting opening month at Soho House São Paulo. To mark the arrival of our first-ever House in South America, we welcomed members through the doors of the 20th-century Italianate building for some special celebrations. Guests showed off their best moves in a voguing competition, explored the extensive House art collection on a private tour, and partied at our Soho Selectors night.

House art tour
Local art curator Guilherme Teixeira presented the House’s art collection to members, guiding them through all of the works, glass of wine in hand. With more than 60 artists born, based or trained in Brazil, Teixeira shared the story behind each artwork alongside information on the artists.

‘Alibi’ music video preview
Members enjoyed a special screening of ‘Alibi’, the highly anticipated music video from Sevdaliza, Pabllo Vittar and Yseult, directed by the acclaimed Brazilian director Fernando Nogari. Hosted in a private room, guests came together to enjoy the video followed by an evening on the terrace of the House.

Voguing competition
As part of Pride Month, we celebrated the LGBTQIA2S+ community by hosting a high-energy voguing competition, with members joining together to show off their best moves on the dance floor. The crowd cheered along, while they enjoyed a selection of classic cocktails.

Soho Selectors: Kevin David and Raphael Fidelis
For the first time at Soho House São Paulo, members and guests came together for Soho Selectors, our event series that shines a light on local DJs at the cutting edge of their genre. DJs Kevin David and Raphael Fidelis provided the soundtrack, as members sipped on Picantes and took to the dance floor until the early hours.

Casa Verde workshop
The Casa Verde cocktail arrived on our global House menus earlier this year to celebrate the opening of our new outpost in São Paulo. A twist on the classic Caipirinha, the drink pays homage to the city’s melting pot of communities and cultures – with members joining together in this workshop to learn how to mix it for themselves.
