Behind the scenes of Soho House Bangkok’s pre-opening dinner

The official opening of Soho House Bangkok is just around the corner, and last night local creatives and friends of Soho House had a chance to get a glimpse into the future club with one of our traditional Hard Hat preview dinners. 

At the entrance, guests were greeted with construction equipment, two large blocks of wood (soon to be the House entrance door) and white hard hats with Soho House Bangkok’s logo (though the hats were not required for the guests this time). 

Guests enjoyed a selection of pre-drinks at the future Garden Bar on the ground floor, accompanied by canapes highlighting creations from Soho Houses around the world, including raw tuna on rye with ginger dressing from Soho House 76 Dean Street, avocado and chickpea dip served with taro chips from Soho Warehouse in LA, and tom yum mushroom spring rolls served with tom yum sauce from Bangkok’s House Kitchen menu. 

An obligatory round of Picante cocktails was served before notable guests including Bhumibhat (Aim) Thavornsiri, Kanachai Bencharongkul, Matt Love, Cindy Sirinya Bishop, Patcha Poonpiriya, Pimporn Metchanun, Nick Supreda and Ploi Horwang were joined at the table by Soho House’s Thai and global team in the future House Kitchen – the main dining room on the second floor. 

A special three-course dinner was then prepared by Soho House Bangkok Executive Chef Kesinee (Keaw) Damrongsakul. Highlights include Burrata and Fig served with mixed cherry tomatoes and balsamic, Braised Beef Short Ribs with red wine beef juice, Truffle and Mushroom Stuffed Chicken Roulade served with truffle sauce, and Lemon Meringue Tart with whipped mascarpone. 

The party at the Garden Bar followed, with DJ Bomber Selecta and DJ Paulie Sirisant providing the soundtrack – the first-ever sound session that took place within the walls, but definitely not the last.
