Inside International Women’s Day at Soho House

IWD 2026

From art talks in London and LA to a showcase of our first all-female Soho Futures Grant in São Paulo, here’s how we celebrated across our Houses

Tuesday 10 March 2026 By Soho House

Whether it was our fourth annual House takeover powered by Porsche in west London or marking the launch of a new magazine in Istanbul, in the days and weeks building up to International Women’s Day members came together across our global Houses to celebrate female-led ideas and creativity in all its forms.

Wherever you enjoyed it, we’ve rounded up all the activities that took place below. And while the day itself may have passed for another year, many of our Houses have lots more women-focused celebrations ahead, so keep an eye on our events listings to find out what’s still in store over Women’s History Month.

White City House
For the fourth year in a row, London’s White City House was the focus of our International Women’s Day takeover, powered by Porsche, to support and recognise creative changemakers who have the courage to dream. The day began with an Art Talk led by Soho House Chief Art Director Kate Bryan, who was joined on the panel by leading art-world names to discuss the progress women artists are making towards parity in the industry.

In the afternoon, Hannah Crosbie, wine critic for The Observer, hosted a special tasting celebrating women wine producers. And in the evening, members enjoyed a special House Session, powered by Porsche, which saw Rachel Chinouriri – one of the defining new voices in British music – take to the stage, followed by late-night beats across the House from a handpicked selection of resident DJs.

Our west London House also served as the location for a special International Women’s Day Endless Connections Lunch, presented in partnership with Mirabeau Rosé and hosted by Kate Bryan. Twelve tables of women enjoyed a curated menu prepared by guest chef Kate Austen – the youngest-ever female head chef to have led a two-Michelin-starred restaurant – complete with wine pairings from Mirabeau Rosé. With each table headed up by a leading art-world figure, including Tate Britain curator Dominique Heyes-Moore, Hauser & Wirth director Dea Vanagan, and the Design Museum’s Janice Li, the conversation was lively and thought-provoking.

Soho Mews House
Broadcaster and author June Sarpong is one of the UK’s most influential cultural voices, leading advocacy for diversity, inclusion, and social change. In the build-up to International Women’s Day, she joined members at Soho Mews House to share personal stories from her career, the influences that shape her path, and the lessons she continues to learn around resilience, purpose, and leadership.

180 House
Our new monthly music series welcomed Summer Pearl – known for her carefree live performances and to-the-point lyrics – to the House on Friday 6 March for an International Women’s Day 180 Jazz special, in partnership with Women In Jazz, which was founded by Louise Paley and Nina Fine.

Brighton Beach House
The Stand Up Sketch Show
’s Kelly Convey headed to Brighton Beach House to host House Comedy: International Women’s Day edition with a line-up of some of the brightest and funniest women on the comedy circuit today.

Shoreditch House

Soho House Istanbul
In the lead-up to the day, Soho House Istanbul hosted two women-focused events, starting with the Turkish debut screening of Juliet’s Journey followed by a Q&A with the director. Written and directed by Fadik Sevin Atasoy, the short film amplifies the stories of unheard women of history through a baby doll named Juliet, to reflect on voice, memory, and inherited silence.

The House also played host to the launch party of new literary magazine Boleka, which was founded by 12 women and is shaped by a collective editorial vision. With the first issue dedicated to writer and activist Aslı Erdoğan, the event included a screening of At All Hours and None (In Tutte le Ore e Nessuna), a short documentary by Davide Minotti and Valeria Miracapillo, reflecting on Erdoğan’s life across writing, science, and human rights.

Soho House Paris
This special edition of House Comedy turned the spotlight on an all-women line-up of comedians at a ‘girls-only’ session, curated by director and writer Léa Lando. It was a memorable night of laughter and comedy, full of sharp humour and bold voices.

Soho House Stockholm
On International Women’s Day, members at Soho House Stockholm enjoyed a full day celebrating women across the House, from a brunch highlighting food from the House’s female chefs to a craft market that showcased products by women makers around the world, as well as music and readings from in-House astrologer and tarot card reader, Clarisse Monahan.

Soho House Holloway
Two art-focused events brought the IWD celebrations to Soho House Holloway, starting with Curating Los Angeles: women in art, a special panel led by ArtLeadHER’s Mashonda Tifrere and curator Essence Harden. Together, they explored the work and impact of women artists redefining creativity in the city, alongside guests.

A week later, the House played host to a special International Women’s Day edition of Spray Day – the graffiti-themed party that showcases women in graffiti art – which turned the spotlight on the work of Deity and Hand of Iris. Members were invited to leave their mark on a blank wall installation with the non-toxic spray paint provided as they enjoyed DJ sounds from special guests.

Soho House São Paulo
The first Soho Futures Grant to be awarded at Soho House São Paulo, supported by House Foundations, was dedicated to five female recipients in October last year. This special showcase in the run-up to International Women’s Day saw the projects brought to life. Amanda Dias, Dariely Belke, Jennyffer Bransford Tupinambá, Leticia Yuri Nakano, and Nathalia Rosa took to the stage in an inspiring celebration of the women shaping São Paulo’s creative landscape today.

The next day, members came together again for a talk marking 100 years of the little black dress – first created by Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel in 1926. Laura Wie, a fashion history specialist who has also worked as a model for Maison Chanel, reflected on how its simple silhouette and democratic use of black reshaped women’s relationship with clothing and public life.

In the build-up to International Women’s Day, actors Annie Gonzalez, Jessica Marie Garcia, and Lisa Vidal came together at Soho Warehouse for a talk led by Paths of Passion around leading with purpose. Topics included navigating fame, identity, and resilience while building meaningful careers in entertainment.

Brought to members by Jennie Jethwani and resident Soho Selector Asia Shabazz, quiz questions featured the queens of hip-hop, R&B, and pop, whose deep cuts and hits have kept us on the dance floor through the decades.

DUMBO House
Members at DUMBO House started International Women’s Day as they meant to go on at a Pilates, Prosecco and power session, led by KGC Pilates. The 60-minute flow class was followed by a social hour, where they enjoyed drinks and connected with like-minded women.

The day’s celebrations continued at a special afternoon karaoke session dedicated to the women who changed music forever, as Beyoncé, Dolly, Taylor, Aretha, and more were honoured in song.

Soho House Chicago
